Hey everyone, its thiskid again, i am working on a custom Chaplain model for my Black Templars, although i have run into a bit of a snag, i need some ideas on how to paint the skull faceplate such as, what techniques and colours to use.

Any and all help is welcomed.

I am also building a converted Templars Chaplain. My plan is to paint the skull helmet white, lots of very thin watered down layers over a grey base. Then once the white is good black wash it to highlight the recesses, then a couple thin layers of white again on the open areas.

I have a (convoluted) process I use which makes bone look aged. Apologies for older paint names.
Basecoat Khemri Brown
Devlan Mud Wash
Leviathan purple wash (In shadows only)
Layer Khemri brown
khemri brown/bleached bone 50/50
Highlight bleached bone
Highlight skull white (only for points of light reflection)
