I won a British rifle lot on ebay,But i must have done pretty good with as i managed to get the dont you have nough models lecture from her.Any recommendations for a compny.
I got 3 rifle platoons,hmg platoon,Mortar and engineers.
So i am trying to think of a list but drawing a blank. i would prefer Veterans list.Also i do want to buy alot of extras.
The models are themselves are 1 st BF castings.THe models have rectangular bases. they look like veterans,Camo on the helmets,all that good stuff. date on them is 2006.

Well I have two lists which always tempt me to start British rifles!

The first is the Cassino New Zealand list.

You have mission tactics, British and American artillery rules, and Maori warriors - downside is 5+ company moral tests! They're FV iirc and look great.

The second would be 51st highland (currently a PDF think it will be in overlord) you're RV

So you could have in 1750

Some UC recon
HMG's
Churchill crocodiles
4 25pdrs

I read a book on Cassino and the Kiwi's leapt out as being insanely brave.

2nd New Zealand Division were an impressive formation, they came right to the brink in the Third Battle as Unit Cohesion began to breakdown and morale was non-existant. I think a lesser unit would have broken, but they endured and were hollowed out by Cassino.

On page 163 of the Book, Rommel is quoted as saying the New Zealander's were the best troops he ever fought.

Captain Charles Upham, VC and Bar, of the New Zealand 2nd Division, was the only person to be awarded the Victoria Cross twice during World War II. This pretty much covers it.
