Hi all

Thought I would introduce myself, as the subject says I'm an old gamer as I originally got into the hobby back in 1990, back in the days of cardboard scenary, placing books under fabric to create hills and and Mike McVey was ruling Eavy Metal oh and a time when GW catered for more than Fantasy and 40k

Forward on a good 23years and everything has changed! the hobby is huge and I would have never have thought that back in 1990 that over 2 decades later we would have proper scenery and Arachnaroks and Baneblades!

iI'm back in the hobby mainly as a painter and maybe also some gaming if I can my first job is to paint up a Skaven force.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

Hey Wolfsbane, welcome back to the fold! I too began gaming around 1990 and do occasionally go misty-eyed when thinking about that bygone age of legend...

Anyways, welcome to Dakka! If you ever fancy getting that Skaven army on the gaming table, head over to Animosity Events as we're looking to do some WFB narrative campaign weekends some time soon. Skaven would be perfect for rushing out from the drains and sewers of an Empire city we're planning on building...

We do lots of 30k/40k stuff, too if that floats your boat!
