I was at a tournament a couple of weeks ago and saw the new flying Hive Tyrant kit for the first time, I really liked the size and shape of the wings and thought they'd look great on a daemon prince.

I already have 3 different Daemon Princes made up but when you get a hobby idea...

One Hive Tyrant and one Daemon Prince kit + some green stuff later:

Sorry for the poor photo :-[, the different blue shades didn't come out well.

I was pretty pleased how he turned out, I'd originally wanted to arm him with Mace but couldn't find any appropriately sized plastic or resin ones so went with a 'Black Sword' instead.

Let me know what you think.

Nice work! Good idea well executed. I hate the colour scheme, but that's just me. It is painted well

The colour scheme is my take on the alpha legion scheme, the armours plates are alot darker in person but in the photo they seem to blend with the turquoise skin.

Usually these conversion look off because some of the bits don't mix, but yours pulls it off beautifully!

I think he looks great! Those shades of blue came out plenty varied. I think the whole color palette works really nicely!
