Xenos ! Heresy !

EDIT : Just kidding. I don't know about the Eldar, but I think you just love to pack on wargear to your space wolves. If it was my army, I'd drop the plasma pistols on the GH's and master of runes to get something else. Maybe a lone wolf?

I cant comment on the eldar side, but from a wolf perspective have a few observations

Master of Runes is a waste of points, don't take it

Long Fangs - decent but lose the heavy bolter it doesnt accomplish anything, i like 3 missiles 2 lascannons personally

Grey hunters - echo the above poster, lose power axe and plasma pistol from all squads, then with the points saved there and from the master of runes take drop pods or rhino's for the 3 packs.

Wolf Scouts are frankly rubbish in the current edition, nowhere near as effective as they were previously, so i would strongly suggest dropping them

Land Speeders, these are an ok ish choice, but a bit out of character for the rest of the army, its all footslogging then you have 3 ultra fast models?

But it’s the Eldar I want the advice on.

Master of Runes is a waste of points, don't take it

Actually the Master of Runes has won me many a game:
Presence on the Long Fangs and then more time than not Forewarning on my Long Fangs.

Long Fangs - decent but lose the heavy bolter it doesn’t accomplish anything, i like 3 missiles 2 lascannons personally

The heavy Bolter, once more an accidental choice at first has proven itself to be very useful to everything from swarms to transports.

Grey hunters - echo the above poster, lose power axe and plasma pistol from all squads, then with the points saved there and from the master of runes take drop pods or rhino's for the 3 packs.

I have been finding the Plasma Pistols to be very useful for taking down light Armor and TEQs.
The Axes… I am still debating on.

Wolf Scouts are frankly rubbish in the current edition, nowhere near as effective as they were previously, so i would strongly suggest dropping them

This Wolf Scout Combo is very Deadly to most Armor, 4 Plasma Shots into a Leman Russ’s Rear armor out of Reserves is a Game Changer

Land Speeders, these are an ok ish choice, but a bit out of character for the rest of the army, its all footslogging then you have 3 ultra fast models?

I use them as Apaches; I just flit back and forth in my back field tearing apart any thing within range.

Garbage. For 10 points you can have 2 plasmaguns giving you 4 plasma shots at range 12 or 2 shots at range 24. You are not using your points efficiently if you pay 15 points for a plasma pistol to get one shot at range 12. Puting a plasma pistol in each GH squad costs you 45 points and barely increases your capabilities.

Ok - on the eldar

Is runes of warding needed? You get +2 to DtW once per game on the farseers squad. I assume you've already got better psyker defence covered by the wolves

The farseer is already mastery level 3, so they'll have pretty good DtW anyway.

Jetbikes and rangers haven't changed too much - as long as you keep them out of the way of the things that will kill them easily (like flamers) they'll be fine.

I'm not a fan of harlequins (rules wise)again. I didn't like them in 4th, liked them after the faq in 6th, don't like them again now :( - the psychic power on the shadowseer lets them down. It's back to 2d6x2 spotting distance. This is great at +24" away, but as you get nearer, they'll be heavily targeted and with t3 and a 5+ they might not last too long. The spiritseer is a 1 wound psyker - you can lose that wound to perils as we have to cast the power now as well.
Do you need the troupe master? he didn't used to be worth it (unless you want challenge fun) as he cost a fair amount extra for a small buff.

For slightly cheaper IIRC, you could take scorpions - they get stealth and the exarch gets a st6 power fist that strikes at initiative - at the moment, they're probably more survivable than harlequins (until you actually get into close combat)

If you stay near the harlies with the farseer, you'll probably get a good return from them - farseers make all units good.
Unsupported, they may not make their points back.

Personally I want to use Harlequins [This comes from my 1st Edition/RT Days]. it is the rest I am very flexible with, I mean the Rangers were there because I had 60 points left.

Thats as good a reason as any to take the harlies

The rest - its all good stuff IMO. The Farseer with the jetbikes will be effective and rangers make great objective campers. You could maybe shave a few points from the farseer but other than that I like your list.

Will you be doing any bat reps?

I could, but that would be a few month from now, I still need to get me some Eldar Mini's.
I could proxy them though, even then it would be a while for me to assemble my Jet bikes

One thing I just thought of. Eldar and Space Wolves are allies of convenience. The BRB says;

"Units in your army treat Allies of Convenience as enemy units that cannot be charged, shot, targeted with psychic powers or have templates or blast markers placed over therm."

I don't have my SW codex in front of me but, I think the entry about "Runic Weapons" says whenever an ENEMY psychic power ... within 24", roll a D6. On a 4+ that power is nullified.

If that's the case (you should check the codex), then your rune priests and Eldar Psykers are going to be nullifying each other. You don't want that, so I'd recommend taking psykers in only one of your detachments. Not both.

I had not even looked into that yet, but with the Eldar Bikes, they will probaly be out of range quickly!

I'm assuming the Farseer will be riding with the Windriders.

You should check your points for the Windriders, 4 Jetbikers with a Shuriken Cannon is 78 points now. Windrider squads were one of the big gains this codex, mostly due their cost dropping. If you can find the 5 points, upgrade the Farseer to a Singing Spear, they are far better than the Witchblades. The "magic numbers" for Windriders are 3, 6 and 9, as each allows another Shuriken Cannon, and thus increases their firepower.

I like the Harlequins, as long as you can distract the opponent from shooting them up on the way in, they wreck things in Assault. I'm kind of meh on the Death Jester, a long range shooty gun doesn't really fit in with an elite assault unit.

Yes, I also plan o pointing them like Harlequin.

I will, later when my brain is willing to work on numbers.
