Well, it's not terrible? I presume you'll be combat squadding the tac squads and using the terminators as a mobile Dakka base in the LRC; unloading from the rhino squads in an area of your choosing.

Here's the problem. First of all, I'm obligated to ensure that you know the SoD does not affect storm bolters. Secondly, the turn you disembark with the tacticals, they'll only be at Salvo 2 which is functionally indistinguishable from their normal rapid fire. So provided you move 6" or less, the LRC will be the only thing firing at Salvo 4.

The banner is great, but you're not using it in the first, second or third best way. (1- Ravenwing, 2- Tri-raider rush, 3- marine/bolter spam with a fortification)

It's a friendly list. If you mean to be competitive, it needs a lot of work.

Hmmm ok so if I replaced the Rhino's with pods and DS the Banner in behind/around the following turn would that function better. I'm trying to set up a 24" death zone in midfield and forgot about disembarking

Given your stated play style, I would actually do something like this:

HQ:

Librarian: PFG, Mastery Lvl 2- 130
Techmarine: PFG- 80

Command Squad: SoD, Apothecary- 180

TROOPS

I know, the FoR is expensive; both in points and cash. BUT, we're Dark Angels, it's the coolest looking terrain ever, and it's actually very effective.

This list is fairly straightforward. I think this list would be strongly served by lots of devastators and I prefer outflanking melta bikes over deep striking melta land speeders; but I tried to adhere to your wishes. I digress:

Placement of the FoR is key. You can do some really tricky stuff with objectives. You can't place them on the FoR, but you can place them behind it. You can theoretically cut off the enemy completely by boxing out a corner of the board with an objective or two behind it. This thing is 2 feet long!

You put your 3 stationary tacs on top of the FoR with the Libby and Command squad. You combat squad the rhino tacs and the lascannon halves go up there too. That's 50 marines and 47 bolters to salvo 4 the whole game. Your plasma tacs go in the Rhinos and seize objectives. Your land speeders deep strike or turbo boost towards metal bawkses.

Here's the dirty part. Your techmarine stands BEHIND the FoR; granting the whole fortress a 4++. The libby has one too in case he dies. That's 4 separate AV14 bunkers with a 4++. Filthy. With careful deployment, this list can be nasty.

Of course, if you don't want to buy, build and paint a giant FoR...I've wasted your time.

I would just try to play your models as best you can; I would advise you though to build the land speeders as Typhoons and leave the melta work to bikes going forward in your collection.

The landspeeders have been magnetised so that I can swap the weapon load out as I see fit as is the Land Raider (so can be played as Godhammer, Crusader, Redeemer ect)

I plan on dumping the Ravenwing models to be honest I really don't want bikes in my force as I do plan to have a Company of Skull Bearers at some point as well as playing with a few different codex's

Your drop pod idea is good, provided you use at least 3 pods.
Drop the tact marines down let the, rapid fire turn 1 then depending on placement of you opponents army bring in the DW command squad and bolster your fire power.
