So I just got 300 pages into "Know No Fear" and something has been nagging at me. What exactly is a perpetual? I know they are immortals 10's of thousands of years old who are reincarnated souls in the same vein as the emperor (This piece of fluff kicks so much a**, it's boots permanently smell of farts) but the emperor is made up of like, what 15,000 shaman's souls? Are they all that powerful or not even close? Ollanius's manliness is apparently being retconned into an equal amount of power.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Basically the Emperor but not quite as awesome or proactive.
Also, pretty much everyone thought it was better when he was a guardsman...

I never said I liked that Pius is a perpetual, because I don't. I just think that the perpetuals are a pretty cool fluff addition.

They are pretty cool admittedly but I'd prefer to see them be Imperial Saints or something...
Pius was epic because he was so ordinary. The entire thing loses something otherwise.

I disagree with that personally, I think him giving up eternal life is a bigger deal than him giving up normal life. But each to their own.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Pius is a man, who has lived for very long time. That is all there is to it. He is not superman.

No one should be complaining about this codex. It gave regular Eldar a much needed buff by allowing us to drop Fire Dragons and D-Scythe Wraithguard wherever we want, without scatter. Without this, I almost lost a game once. It was scary. I almost took to buying fixed dice to ensure it never happened again.

So what? He still got bested by a simple run of the mill cultist.
There really isn’t anything grand to note about him, other than his knowledge about warp craft and some form of immortality.

You need a magical compass and book/atlas to enter your house? Where do you live?
