I haven't really bought any models since 5th edition went away, and I have all of these except for the Aegis defense line w/ quad gun (a necessary eventual purchase I'm guessing) so it shouldn't be too bad. How will a list like this fair in the modern meta? From what I'm seeing, not a lot can crack a land raider long range anymore as everyone is gravitating towards plasma weaponry and anti-infantry. Obviously necrons are a problem, but I think if the Land Raiders get in the 24" range of the guass their job is pretty well done. Thoughts?

I would lose the second termy squad and maybe some of the buffs on the Libby to get 2 Stormtalons. The termies without the raider are probably going to mostly die either upon deep striking or marching up the table

The Stormtalons enhance your flier defense, increase your armor saturation and most importantly, fulfill the s*&^ out of rule #1.

Both terminator squads have a land raider (which I have). The first one is dedicated, the second is in the heavy support. I can't afford two stormtalons. I have a tau army and my next purchases were going to be an Aegis defense line then a Riptide, but I might go for a stormraven or two if they are both assault vehicles and can transport terminators, or better if they can transport an Ironclad dreadnought and is an assault vehicle.

edited: thought you were talking about the storm raven, which I might consider. A storm talon doesn't really interest me.
