Hi all

I am looking at adding 10-20 plastic wraithguard to my eldar army at some point.

Seeing as the models are pretty expensive and have a few different weapon options, I am thinking of magnetising them.

Magnetising between swords and axes/shields should be pretty easy, but how easy is it to do it between wraithcannons and d scythes?

I can see it being a challenge as the weapons are held 2 handed.

Has anyone managed to do it and have you got any advice?

consider magnetizing at the shoulder?

It's going to be my first thought when I do it.

I started it and gave up, its way more difficult than it first seems, In the end I gave up and just decided that for the time and pain it would take me I could work some overtime and buy another kit, however YMMV.

Perhaps the easiest option, if you dont mind them being EXACTLY wysiwyg, then you could magnetise the weapon barrels (or use a strand of wire that allows them to be interchaged)

EDIT: Seems I misread your question, I thought you wanted to be able to swap between CC weapons and Guns, but if you just want to swap between wraithcannons and D-scythes I would imagine it wouldn't be TOO hard. You could glue the "supporting" arm in place, as these arms are shared by both weapons and join at the wrist via a peg in the gun hand and a socket in the wrist, and then magnetise the weapon holding arm at the shoulder. You could then pin (or use a very small magnet if you are skilled modeller/total legend/insane) the gun and have a hole for the pin in the wrist

Thanks for the replies, but I have managed to get my hands on 10 of the metal models for a decent price so am going to use them for my wraithcannon squad.

The d scythe squad and wraithblades will be from the new plastics.
