My friends and I used to have huge team up battles, 4 2000 point armies on the field at once. No rhyme or reason for the team ups, obviously. One game stands out above all others. I don't remember the exact army lists, but I do know that I had a WE dragon and a treeman on the field, and my teammate had bolt throwers and the Merc Ogres. I had to deal with the DE, but our friend that played chaos ALWAYS took lore of heavens and tried to magic me to death right from the start. My dryads were toast in two rounds. Then he started failing his magic rolls. Much of my army was getting tore up, but the dragon and treeman were dishing it back out. On the other side, chaos sends knights charging the Merc ogres. They run. Then they rally. Then the take the charge, lose a man, run. Rinse/repeat. This happened right up until the ogres retreated between 2 bolt throwers. Knights follow. Next turn, bolt throwers swivel, and kill every last knight in one massive volley of death. The last ogre did finally rally at the edge of the board, but did nothing else. With the knights dead (including the chaos lord), the empire turned it around and smashed chaos to pieces, while I was left with a dragon and a treeman as the only units standing when DE finally fled the field. The real fun came after the battle. The chaos player decided that his chaos mage was the most useless model on the field and must be punished. Empire countered with the Merc Ogres and their handler being the most useless, as the mage at least killed a few models. The mage played the part of his own defense, while a militia model dubbed Skanky von Skankerstein represented the ogres. The DE player and I are rolling on the floor as this 'trial' is conducted in front of us. In the end, the mage lost his hand holding the staff and had it glued to his head.
