Hey guys,
I need some advice regarding a match I got coming up. I'm going to be having a 2k game match against the new eldar dex. He uses the normal type set up including striking scorpions, fire dragons, dire avenges, guardians, several falcons, serpents and a crimson hunter. I use a totally shooty list including shoota boys, lootas, burna Boyz, kills kans, deffkoptas with t/l rokkits, big Mek with Shokk attack gun,warbikers,3 units of 12 boys including a nob with power claw, nobs with various weapon set ups.
I'm after some advice on how to take on the new eldar. Many thanks in advance.

Stay in cover, and just harass him with your firepower. Use the scorpions to sow a bit of confusion in his lines by assaulting enemy units that are retreating. Make sure that all of your units are mobile, and us the transports as cover for them and to keep them out of assault.

LOTS AND LOTS OF KOMMANDOES. LIKE 20 OR 30 OF THEM. LOLOLOLOL
In all seriousness. They are a good distraction unit and are fun. Also warbikes hugging cover are good. They provide a cover save to anything behind them so they can cover the rest of your boyz. Those 2 should do the trick. If they don't think that is enough, get some stormboyz or more bikes. Or deffkopters Automatically Appended Next Post: Use battlecannons with dakka guns. They will probably survive a while, provide cover and protection and kill some things.

Well, shooty is good, although it is going to be difficult to shoot down his armor. Av12 with a 4+ cover save is a tough nut to crack.
Warbikes for cover is a good idea, but don't expect the warbikes to live long.
The kans are very easy targets for the sheer volume of S6 spam the eldar can throw out. Those, the deffkoptas and lootas would be my first targets as they are your best weapons to shoot down the mech. The mek with the SAG will also draw some hate, so make sure he has some bodies to protect him.
My next target would be the warbikers, as they can assault the serpents and wreck them. Power klaws are going to be critical should you get close enough to a serpent with anything. In melee, the claw is ok, you are going last so might as well ignore armor, but I doubt the klaw will survive a dedicated assault unit.
The striking scorpions are designed to kill orks. Their swords are AP6 now, so expect high casualties if these make it to your lines. They will overwhelm you with sheer number of attacks, survive most of the return hits and then sweeping advance if you are not fearless. Shoot these down with small arms if you have the chance, or use your burnas.
Once you demech the serpents, the avengers and guardians inside will outshoot you easily. Keep these away and make sure you get the first shot if you have to shoot. Burnas work here as well, but getting them there is an issue.
Since you have very little mech, the crimson hunter and fragons are low priorities. Ignore these if possible.
Overall, your best shot is to shoot down the serpents quick and survive by sheer numbers and fearless. Make sure you are in cover at all times. It won't be an easy fight, just bring as much as you can to weather the storm.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

personally I like to run squads of 20 boyz w/big shootas a pk nob in a battlewagon w/deff rolla and that makes a very good mobile shooting platform for taking down anything that dies to small arms fire and kamakazi-ing other vehicles and elite squads.
