I've been working on painting and planning a new eldar force based on the new codex. There arent really any fliers in my meta so thats something I can comfortably overlook for now, I have been flipping between the two gun choices for the Autarch, both aided by the relentless conferred by the bike but still believe the reaper launcher edges out the rifle (I dont really need the longer range)

Eldar Autarch 150 Points
Mantle of the Laughing God, Jetbike, Reaper Launcher (or Uldanorethi Long Rifle)

Spirit Seer 70 Points
Wych Staff, Runes of Battle (2)

Eldar Jetbike Squadron 78 Points
4 x Jetbike, 1 x Shuriken Cannon

The Twilight Zone

Between the 2 gun choices, I think the launcher wins out. The range is sufficient with the jetbike mobility and the extra shot wins out against the rifle, which is better against T6+ models but that is it.

It would be nice to put a laser lance on your autarch as well, as the mantle is also a decent combat setup.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

My primary concern with putting a lance on the autarch was that he would then become the sole CC oriented piece of the army, and if he failed to take out whatever he charged turn 1 of the assault it would come down to him beating them over the head with an over priced stick (awesome on the charge but lacking a follow up).

I agree about the launcher, it means he wont be hunting MC but t o be fair doing a single wound a turn against them wouldnt have made the rifle any better. Atleast with the reaper launcher he's a handy anti meq
