Army Painter Red, red wash, and a protractor.

I don't have a good picture at the moment, see below which will have to do, however I usually just start with white undercoat, base of Mephiston red, wash with carroburg crimson, touch up mephiston red then highlight in either Evil Suns Scarlet or Game's Hot Orange if I want something a bit more vibrant (generally I do not).


Just a very, very minimal Evil Suns Scarlet highlight on a test model.


Normal scale marine has Hot Orange highlight

Base coat black then a thin coat of khorne redthen memphistone red nuln oil wash then evilsuns scarlett.

Gives a nice deep bloody red.

OT: It depends on the shade you are after: traditional bright and blingy BA or a darker more subdued color scheme?
