I recently re-downloaded Vassal 40K and there doesn't seem to be anybody on the servers anymore. I was just wondering of there was something new i should be playing or if I'm looking for players in the wrong area.

Are you playing the newest one? Most people also arrange it offline before going on to play.

I think so. I have Module 5.4F but someone said i needed 6.0 and i cant find it anywhere.

I have vassal but have never used it.
I haven't quite figured out how to use it yet and I always get a bit intimidated but trying to play on line with something I'm not to sure about. I always think my opponent will get annoyed because I don't quite know what I'm doing.

I am going to download it tonight so I will be very new if you want to try it with someone who doesnt really know what they are doing as well (or that could probably be a wrong thing to do ha)

How does it work in any case, is it something that can be saved? or do people normally play it in one go?

You can save games but I think most play in one go. It really depends if you're going to be arranging matches before hand or just finding a random on the server.

What's a vassal?

It's a program that let's you play board games on the internet, people create modules for certain games and there is one available for 40k (google Vassal 40k for more info)
