HI guys,
I had a friendly game last night and got accused of being a power gamer. Would you be upset if you came up against this list in a friendly game?

cadre fireblade

riptide - ion cannon, early warning override, stim injector.

3 x 10 fire warriors

2 x 5 pathfinders

2 broadsides - railgun 2 x missile drones each early warning override

2 x 15 kroot - shaper, hound, sniper rounds


allies

coteaz

9 henchmen - 6 x warrior with boltgun, 3 x plasma servitors

vindicare.

Not a pushover list, but I don't think this come even close to power gaming. what are your thoughts?

I cant really see why someone would call you power gamer if that is the list, you have only one Riptide and only 2 broadsides, and you arent abusing coteaz henchmens.. I would gladly play this list.

I wouldn't say so, no. There are much more powerful and cookie cutter units you could have taken. Like HYMP Broadsides for example. What were you against? Also, if it was a friendly game your opponent shouldn't have said anything about your list or the outcome. Him saying so means he's obviously not happy he lost and was playing to win, not for fun? Just my two cents. When me and a friend play, obviously we try hard, but playing is what ulitimatly matters in friendly environments.

It was half of a 3000 point doubles list against eldar and black templars (the other half was dark angles with no spam and nothing special). I think the major sticking point was that the vindicare smashed a land raider in both turn 1 and turn 2 leaving almost all the templars floundering, and coteaz got the re-roll successful saves psychic power which meant a wraithkinght went down really fast.to weight of fire.

Probably just sour grapes but the guys i was playing are really good friends who i dont want to put off playing me.

They shouldn't stop playing with you just because you won. They took a fire magnet, it's a new model, they're pride was just probably dashed a bit. If they do stop playing with you over such a silly thing, then thats crazy and find new friends.

To be honest this is not an effective list at all and is miles away from being power gamer level (though I never really understand the idea that you're only allowed to write a powerful list if you lack skill in doing so). It is just because you have Tau and GKs and your opponents have heard the buzz that they are both power armies (though GKs aren't in 6th) and they lost so they found something to blame.

its was mine and 1500 of dark angels vs 1500 eldar + 1500 templars

wraithknight suncannon + scatter laser

he had a unit of warp spiders too,8 i think, i forgot about those. he deep struck them right infront of my riptide and broadsides with early warning override - derp!
