Ok,
I've been painting away with my Angels of Absolution Land raider and have ran into a problem. As you know Absolution's colour is bleached bone (although I've used dheneb stone as it covers better) the problem is I don't have a clue about how to shade it. I'm going to use a brown for doing the recesses such as where the armour joins but the actual overall tank is very bright and somehow I need/want to show some wear and tear. I am going to drybrush the lower armour with mud colours(either side of the tracks).
As for the tank; I can only think of one way to shade it would be to use a wash applied by brush. Now this fills me with horror as I've never used a wash on a vehicle before, indeed I showed my ork battlewagon on dakka a while back and many folks comments centred on "It's a bit clean for an ork vehicle!".
So can anyone give me advice so that the tank does not turn out a complete mess?
