I'm curious as how team tournaments are generally handled in other areas, and what people prefer. Most relating to how the team's armies are allowed to interact, how they deal with warlords, how they handle reserve rules (50% rule applied to players individually, or the team as a whole), and if they apply the "no units on the table at the end of a turn" to the team or each player.

11,100 pts, 7,000 pts
++ Heed my words for I am the Herald and we are the footsteps of doom. Interlopers, do we name you. Defilers of our
sacred earth. We have awoken to your primative species and will not tolerate your presence. Ours is the way of logic,
of cold hard reason: your irrationality, your human disease has no place in the necrontyr. Flesh is weak.
Surrender to the machine incarnate. Surrender and die.

the store I normally play at just held a doubles tournament and I really liked how they handled things. Basically the force chart for each teammate was 1HQ, 0-2 elite, 1-3 troops, 0-2 FA, 0-2HS but you couldn't have more than 3 elite/FA/HS each. So each team could have a maximum of 6 non troops/HQ choices.

We also played that only 1 teammate could be the warlord per game. And unless you were battle brothers all allies counted as allies of convenience so no cross warlord/psychic shenanigans but tyranids wouldn't eat their partner first chance they got haha. We did that because there are a few tyranid players that would have porked otherwise.

Reserve was handled as 50% per team.

Well, I think our store just allowed both armies to bring a 1000 pt army, no restictions. I think this works pretty good if you put the cap at 2000 pts; since the game allows 2 primary detachments at 2000 points, you can just fudge it and say they can be from different armies. The only limitation I might place on Player teams is to require it to follow the Allies chart rules; you can't ally with the hated armies.

Past armies 4500 pts, 4000 pts 2000 pts
current armies Space Marines 4000 pts, Eldar 3000 pts
