Just added a LR Redeemer to my list. Previously I was running my RP with 9 x GH w/ 1 PG in a Rhino. I had though of stuffing the LRR full with the RP, and 10 x GH with a PG and MG. Given the very assaulty nature of the Redeemer, the PG doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. So, I can either replace the PG with a Flamer or second MG, or keep him with 9 X GH and a PG bringing up the rear in a Rhino. Then I'd load up the LR with 10 x GH with MG, Flamer.

Opinions?

I'd take 2 MG if you're going in a land raider. It'd be a shame to waste that assault ramp.

Needs more acronyms, I was able to understand part of that.

I'd take 2x Meltaguns and a Wolf Guard with a Combi-melta. There's no such thing as overkill.

Well what do you want the RP to do? (I don't play wolves, just normal marines I'm afraid.)

IF he's casting mostly buffs for combat or witchfire/maledictions, put him up front. If he's making defensive buffs or long range witchfires, put him in a rhino.

If he goes in TDA, redeemer all the way.

Usually I play him pretty aggressively, though I use LL liberally so that will work well anywhere. Think I'll try him out in TDA in the Redeemer. With that, my TWC and mounted Wolf Lord, as well as a pack of Sky Claws all tearing up first thing, should be exciting.

Double Meltagun. Just in case you need to open up a can. The Redeemer can flame whatever you need, so Flamers on that unit are a bit redundant. Hell, if you ever get the points sticking a Wolf Guard Pack Leader in with them with another Combi-Melta doesn't hurt either, since he can fit in the Land Raider.

Just mouse over the acronyms. DakkaDakka has this wonderful feature that tells you what the acronyms mean if you are unfamiliar with the game.

That said, I've never fully understood the need to use acronyms to shorten text in a forum post. In an IM or text message, sure. But a forum post isn't something that you have a time limit on writing, so why not make it easier to read?

I mostly do it for ease and speed of typing. Especially if I'm talking about lists and such.

I'm not unfamiliar with the game, nor the acronyms. Just a lil put off by the excessive use of them is all.
