I'm just getting back into 40k after a loooooong hiatus.
I have been gifted some Dark Vengeance - Dark Angels Space Marines is there any way I could use them as Blood Angels - ie same Colour scheme ???
Just cover up all of the hoods on all the icons, and capes, etc, and replace with blood drop. The REAL deal breaker though will be the winged sword icon. That thing has to go. Past that, I don't think many will care if they are just red dark angels

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.
With the winged sword and tactical arrows shave them off and GS some blood drops. I did it a few years back for a friend but don't have any images, I'll see if I can get some for you as a reference.
