Trying to put together a tournament style CSM list with one exception, I dont have heldrakes. I'm leaning towards a noise marine heavy list. I'm stuck on whether or not to take havoc flakk squads or obliterators. What other units / HQ choices would synergize well with noise marines. Also have access to some daemon units and daemon princes.
Here is my rough template of what I have now:
Chaos lord , slaanesh, terminator armor
3x Noise marines x10. Sonic wapons +1 blastmasterx
3x 3xMoN obiterators
Warptalons x5
Khorne berzerkers x10

Dont take sonic blasters, they are not worth the points, just take 2 blastmasters and possibly FNP icon. I would also play Slaanesh lord with steed and possibly some spawns.
If you dont take heldrakes you need Aegis Defence Line or some flying monstrous creatures, Warptalons arent realyl worth points they cost, neither are berserkers. Just get some spawns, they will do fine in melee,

Yeah I agree with Shan1, I'm not sure that sonic blasters are worth it, mainly because they don't fit well with blastmasters (which are great).
Have 3 10 man noisemarine squads with just Blastmasters.
If possible I'd run the warptalons as raptors with dual melta guns, to deepstrike and get rid of vehicles.
3x3 MoN Obliterators are great, almost certainly better than flakk havocs. I'd consider a squad of Autocannon havocs on a quad gun, they give you pretty good anti-air and anti-light vehicle.
I could see the sense in running one squad of oblits markless so that the Slaanesh Lord can join them, if you gave him a burning brand then deep strike together you could cause some serious damage.
As to other HQ choices, I think Huron might work well with what you have. Sonic Blasters can be useful if you get the squad up in the enemy's face with infiltrate. You could run your Beserkers as csm with the MoK and a couple of flamers, infiltrating them to get a turn two charge might work well.
You have a lot of choices really. I could link you to my 1750 Noisemarine list if you would find it helpful?

So here is what I came up with.
Daemon prince: power armor, wings, nurgle, black mace
Chaos lord: slaanesh, terminator, lightning claw, burning brand
3x noise marines x10, 2 blast master
Raptors 2 meltaguns
Havoc middle flakk squad
2x 3x oblits.
Not sure if the daemon prince fits or is worth his points.

Normally I would advice you to put MoN and VotLW on the oblits, but with that many of them you can afford to lose a few of them.
I do disagrree with the guy who said Sonic Blasters are not worth it. They very well are, as long as they stand still and unleash volley after volley of coverignoring shots. They are especially wicked against xenos armies, which often dont have great armour saves and relies on good cover to carry them through. But meq armies dont like them either. In this game its often quantity over quality, and i you've got thirty odd dice to roll for one unit each shootingphase, then there will be failed 3+ armour saves, and thats all that matters.
A really kinky thing to do is get a sorceror with MoS and then hope you get the Symphony o Pain Slaanesh power. giving the target -1 in ws+ bs and sonic weapons +1 strength when shooting at the target
I also gotta praise you for making an army without the Hellturkey. Kudos man

Interesting. The blastmasters will provide the ignoring ap3 to gib MEq.
I would recommend atleast 1 squad of full sonic blasters to take mid field.
I dont like that MoN on the dp. Cant sweep.

Agreed, MoN on DP isn't worth it, every single unit I've ever killed with my DP has been due to a sweeping advance. I've been running mine with armor, wings, black mace and tzeentch to good effect.
And another vote for keeping sonic blasters, in my experience they're well worth it. VS non-MEq I've often confirmed up to 15 wounds in a salvo, that's enough to take out damn near any unit that isn't ork numbers.
Thirdly, +1 vote for the raptors vs warp talons.
Lastly if you've got the points, consider Burning Brand of Skalathrax on your Lord. I've yet to play a game with it confirming less than 10 model kills, MEq and/or xeno.
