Either Plaguebearers or horrors in MSU, squads of 10 generally. If you have the points, a large squad like CannedKhorne said would be good. Plaguebearers are preferred at higher competitive levels due to being very sturdy in cover, and the fact that horrors can give out FnP. This is also into consideration of the fact that FMC are very fast, so your troops probably wont be fighting unless they come to you, in which case PB's can hide and lock people down in combat with defensive grenades and such.

I like Horrors better than the Plagues - bear with me here. The plagues can get a 2+ save easily going to ground but are very slow.
The Horrors can get a 3+ save in area terrain - a 2+ behind ruins in area terrain and reroll all 1's. That means their 3+ save translates to losing 5/18 of a model per wound (rather than 3/18 with the plagues 2+). The extra speed for running to get into range of objectives, spreading out from a Deep Strike and the chance to be useful in some offensive capability makes them stand out to me.

I'd go with a squad of pink horrors, a squad of plagues, and two squads of daemonettes. The daemonettes are vital for netting upfield objectives. Always Deep Strike them. With the fleet run and +3" run, they are almost guaranteed to nullify any 2d6 scatter, basically netting them where you want them to be. That and they are quick and good at getting into positions where the opponent shouldn't be able to kill them.
If you are low on points, drop the plagues, add a portalglyph to one of your DP's; then spawn plagues backfield with your portalglyph out of LoS from anything. That or drop it late game and spawn fast daemonettes to move onto objectives quickly
I'd say your best option is
1x10 pink horrors
2x10 daemonettes
portalglyph
That's 300 points of your army that is resilient, has backfield scoring down, and can deep strike on a dime and run into cover and move extremely fast.
Just some of my cents

I really like the deep striking ing deamonettes idea; I'd not thought about the fact that they could run further than most after DSing.
However, for a FMC list I generally just ignore backfield objectives and instead have enough troops to hold home ones and play agressively trying to kill the oposing scoring units with the FMCs rather than actually move anything up to capture them.

Horrors, all day long. Although you have to invest to them if you want them to do anything a squad of ten is pointless except for the aforementined re roll 1's, plagues are ok until something ignores cover or they get assaulted.
I run my horrors with 2 heralds both with exalted ml3 and one with locus conjuration as a support and buff /de buff unit, usually in the middle of the board grimoiring themselves de buff enemies and shooting at enemy troops or high toughness targets. I run a squad of ten plagues for objective camping.
The FMC's I run is usually lord of change (fatey for compeititve) and 3 330pts of tzeentch daemon princes.
As to horrors giving out feel no pain yes they can but if you have 10 it is pointless even shooting them you have to kill something and the warpflame has done me more good then not lately to be honest but only with a bigger squad.
