Out of curiousity, are Dark Eldar scourges about the same scale as Swooping Hawks? I love the Scourges' eagle wings (and some other parts), and hate Finecast, but love many of the bits on the Hawks (and I'd be making Hawks), so I'm wondering if they're kitbash-worthy...

Well, they're both 28mm if that's what you are asking.

I had the same idea actually for making hawks (seeing as you can nearly get 10 scourges for the price of 6 hawks in £££).
The only problem I was trying to overcome was the weapons (as scourges have splinter weaponry not lasblasters) and the fact that some of the scourges have exposed feet (while the aspect warriors all have fully enclosed armour).
What suggestions did you have for this? I would be interested to brainstorm ideas as a future project.
Maybe this could help us both out!
Although looking at your post, it looks like you are planning to get scourge parts and add them to metal hawk bodies?

Little green stuff or spare guardians can help out with things like that.
Thing I'm most worried about with them are the bat wings.
Oh and this guy shows how you don't even need their legs.

I would just buy the wings seperately on ebay or something. That way you dont have to use the bat wings.
I would look at using an eldar guardian as a base, add the scourge wings, convert the head (green stuff?) and then figure out something for the gun.

Maybe scourge bird heads as well when you get the wings?

Holy wow, n0t_u, that looks awesome!
I'm not sure about each bit, and which I'd use from each. I think I like the Hawk helm much more than the Scourge, or anything else I could put together.
I haven't learned to use Greenstuff yet, although this project will probably require it (only so much I can do with a knife, some glue, and occasionally some plastic shavings and glue as filling).
There are parts of both Scourges and Hawks that I like. The one part of the hawk I absolutely hate is the wings, and I love the Scourge version. If I can't find a cheeper way (such as e-baying the eagle wings, or selling off the remainder of the kit, or something), I'm looking at about $100 just for 6 Hawks.
I think I'll probably pick up the Hawk box and one Scourge box and see how it looks dry-fitting it. If it does well, I can try to put it together.
Its too bad the Scourge legs look so Dark Eldar-y, as the poses are awesome.
