Hi folks,
I've been trawling through the rulebook to see if there is anything written on the subject, but with no luck. Just so I know I haven't missed anything, is there any rule about there being additional implications for a unit in a transport which was destroyed when travelling at speed? For arguments sake, lets say a Wave Serpent with Star Engines travelling at 24" when it was shot down...

Nope, only flyer transports have additional risks for the passengers.

I am not seeing what you might of overlooked.

Page 83 highlights that it is wrecked while page 80 outlines what happens to passengers in vehicles that are wrecked. Neither pages have anything related passengers in a skimmer that is destroyed while traveling at speed, so there is no unique rules concerning these combinations. I even looked through FAQ's to see if this was asked or errata, but I didn't find anything relevant either. Everything is suggesting that you simply treat it as a normal wreckage for the passengers inside, regardless of how it came to be wrecked.

Therefore I can only conclude that crashing at extreme speeds is not a problem for those inside, they must really have some good seat-belts or something.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.
