Subject: Deny the witch and embarked psyker.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding Deny the witch and transports with psykers in them. It says in the rules for the psychic hood that you can only use your hood for yourself or your transport if embarked. Does that mean that you need to have a psychic hood to ever deny the witch on behalf of your transport, or is it just saying that you're restricted to essentially "normal" rules while in a transport. My mate argues that being part of a transport means they're the same "unit", and the wording of deny the witch states that you can deny the witch on anything cast on your unit.
I can't find any definitive rulings or iron clad sections from the BRB to support clear this up. Thanks in advance for your help guys.

The transport itself can never gain the Deny the Witch benefits of an embarked psyker, unless that psyker has a psychic hood.
The unit inside the transport, and the transport itself, are two completely separate units.
Against non-marine players, a vehicle will usually only ever get a 6+ Deny the Witch.
Iranna.

SW also use runic weapons to get the ability to negate the power.

Since the psychic powers cannot target embarked units, they can only target the Rhino/Land Raider, thus Kharn's immunity has no effect for the transport. But that would be awesome if it worked!
Maybe in a CSM supplement we will get some Chaotic vehicle dedications, and Khorne will have anti-psyker goodies and super deadly tankshocking blades.
I really wish we still had that Tzeentchy Coruscating Warpflame from 4th edition, that was amazing vs horde armies.
