So, I went to my local GW recently, im working on a Tyranid list and the only models I didn't have were the 6xHive Guard, turns out theyre £94!!!! for 6! How is this justifiable at all? there are similar sized and priced (points wise) models such as Warriors that go for £27.50 for 3, with extra bits! its safe to say I put them back on the hanger and walked out of the shop.

Does anyone know how Games Workshop are pricing their mini's these days? is it by how well they perform on the table? Seems like its getting really bad nowadays, I haven't bought anything from GW since dark vengeance when it was released and I wont be buying from them ever again if they don't sort the prices out, anyone else feel this way?

They are pricing what people will pay. As long as people keep paying these prices (and people do), they'll keep them high and probably raise them more.

Go try e-bay and hope for the best. Prices were old news in September when I started buying, they're still old news now. If you really don't like it, vote with your wallet by not buying.

Minis. Not "mini's" unless you're talking about something the mini is possessing. Apostrophes aren't for plurals.

GW prices things as high as they do because they can. They know people will buy them, and they like testing what the market will bear. They didn't do a universal price increase this year though, so I'm hoping they've leveled prices out.

I moved from the U.S. to Australia a few months ago and while I'd always heard complaints of the Australian prices, until I started needing to expand my armies here the magnitude of it hadn't struck me.

I want to buy more Trukks for my Orks. Retail, without a discount, they are $55 AUS. What makes this ridiculous is that for $50 (not including shipping, of course), I can get a Forgeworld Trukk with enclosed cab or with tracks. When Forgeworld is cheaper than GW, you know there's a problem.
