So I just acquired a Land Raider. It is not primed nor painted, but there is glue all over the place. Should I sand the excess glue off before I prime it, or just prime over everything?
If I just prime over it, will it be that noticeable?

Sand it. Use a couple different fine grit sand paper and work coarsest to finest.

I guess I could also just try my x-acto knife on the glue and try not to destroy too much plastic...but sanding would probably be better looking

What kind of glue?

Polystyrene cement will damage the surface of the model, and your best method would be to sand it off with light weight paper, then make good if necessary with putty.

Superglue might chip off, or lever off, especially if you freeze the model. Be very careful when you use a knife or other sharp edge to try and chip it.

Priming over the glue won't work unless you can print it or disguise it in some way as battle damage, mud or something. A good primer creates a very thin layer over the underlying surface and will let any small detail come through.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It seems to be some basic modeling glue. It dried yellow. So not GW glue or anything. I am able to remove some of the part I didn't want on as well.
