Have been thinking of a new army, and this sort of pushed me back into blood angels. Seeing as how I can have predators (Baal) in the fast attack and not only the heavy. Not sure about the HQchoice, but wanted something that could stand up.

Librarian in power armor. Force ax. Not sure what psychic powers to use.

Sanguinary priest with power axe, storm bolter x2

Tactical squad with power axe/ razor back w/ tl assault cannon x2

Baal predator w/ flame storm cannon, heavy flamer sponsons x2
Baal predator w/ tl assault cannon,heavy bolter sponsons

Predator w/ tl las cannon, las cannon sponsons x2
Predator w/ auto cannon, heavy bolter sponsons.

Not so sure but just looks fun to play.

Never use Tac squads in a BA army. For those Razorbacks use Assault Squads with their packs off for the discount and give them a special weapon. Other than that you have a fast army with good armor for running circles around people. For your HQ I would keep him cheap and use Divination for Prescience or maybe run him with Shield of Sanguinis to give your tanks a 5+ cover save. Since you aren't running your troops to do your fighting for you I would drop the priests and get something else, maybe a librarian dread to fly around with Wings of Sanguinis and Shield of Sang to have your 5+ save spread out more.

I wouldn't go so far as to say never use tactical squads with Blood Angels, but if you are using them, you should have a good reason. I can't see exactly why you would want them in this case though. Assault marines give a discount on the transports which is great, and they can get a special weapon with only 5 men. Your tactical squads will only have bolters and a power axe. The power axe isn't that great in the tactical squads because you will probably want to keep them out of the assault. Also, the sanguinary priests will be really expensive if you have two of them and they are only giving FnP and furious charge to 10 tactical marines. Since you only have razorbacks as transports, you have space for 12 guys, but with 2x 5man squads, 2x sanguinary priests, and a librarian, either the librarian or one of the priests will be walking.

This has 2 special weapons, 4 power weapons, and a 5 man tactical squad to sit on an objective. The razorbacks can get in close alongside the baal predators and the assault marines can jump out to take out any targets of opportunity while the tanks cover them.
