And 1/3 of the time your ~200pt Tervigon (depending on what sort of upgrades it has) simply disappears. Even Iron Arms Eternal Warrior buff won't save you.

Deny the Witch made it a bit less of a sure thing, and it was a massive kick in the pants to Tyranid players in 5th. But even now, you basically get a power armour saves odds against losing your ~200pt army lynchpin. It's still a great way to drop Tervigons, which Tyranids are heavily reliant on.

But a good Wolf player probably wouldn't take it anyway. The power is a one trick pony - it was made to drop stuff like Tervigons. Against everything else, it's pretty ordinary. Wolves have far better powers.

Basically, you got lucky. Lucky that he took that instead of a better power, and lucky you made your rolls.
