Rune Priest: TDA, Jaws, FOTWS, Rune Axe
Rune Priest: TDA, Jaws, MH, Rune Axe
10 GH: 2 melta guns, drop pod
8 GH: Flamer, drop pod
4 WG: TDA, 4 wolf claws, 3 combi-flamers, heavy Flamer
6 Long fangs w/WG: 5 ml, WG in TDA, wolf claw, cml

This list is suited to be more effective against the tau army I play alot. Comments and feedback would be great. Thanks!

I might be mistaken here but aren't wolf claws ap3? which would mean that your terminators are completely incapable of killing other terminators, granted you said you were playing against tau but it means it'll be very hard for you to crack that riptide (assuming he's taking one but then why wouldn't he?). Which squads are your RP's going, with the 8 man in a pod? With the amount of interceptor that a tau force can throw around is that really wise?

You don´t want to run pods in even numbers. If you keep your list like that you´ll only drop one pod in round 1 and the other might come whenever it pleases thats more or less suicidal!

Sorry. The wolf guard are coming in a drop pod as well

Your Rune Priests are illegal. They have to have different wargear. Either change one into runic armor, or give one a chooser. Or best of all, just drop one and spend the 120 points on something else.

Also...This is just my opinion, but terminators are way overpriced for 1000 point games. Stick with just Grey Hunters, Rune Priests and Long Fangs for small point levels like this. Especially against Tau because they have enough AP2 plasma on their battlesuits to make TDA not worth it. They also roll LOTS of dice for pulse rifles and the two things that are effective at killing terminators is AP2 and big piles of dice. You're better off just getting a lot more models.

Would you use a rhino or drop pod to transport them. I don't like the idea of a rhino because his pulse rifles are capable of destroying it

Pulse rifles are 'capable' of destroying it, true. But honestly, it will take a lot of pulse rifle shots to do so. In fact, the amount of shooting he would have to spend on it could easily kill 3-4 space marines. Now do the math - a rhino costs 35 points while 4 space marines costs 60 + wargear. That and you have to consider that the Rhino only has to survive long enough to drop off the squad, then it's useless so you don't care if it dies. Also, you can pop smoke launchers on your first turn and get that 5+ save to pulse rifles.

The Rhino is still a good choice. But so is the Drop pod. You pick. This is what I would run against Tau...

Spoiler:

Rune Priest: Divination

10 GH: 2 x Plasmaguns, Wolf Standard, MotW, drop pod (220)
10 GH: 2 x Flamers, Wolf Standard, MotW, drop pod (210)
10 GH: 2 x Flamers, Wolf Standard, MotW, drop pod (210)

6 Long fangs + 5 Missile Lauchers's (140)
6 Long Fangs + 5 Heavy Bolters (115)

1000 points

Lots of room to play around with your Grey Hunter's special weapons. 2 plasmaguns cost 10 points, 2 meltaguns cost 5 points and the double flamers are free. If you're worried about armor, you could exchange the 2 plasmaguns in the first squad for two squads with 2 meltaguns each. If you're more worried about lots of troops, I'd keep the above configuration.
