I am assembling the Fortress of Redemption soon and going to paint it as much like the picture as I can.

Any tips for what I can expect for this model?

Mostly fatigue from painting a few hundred skulls of various sizes. It's a big project, so best of luck completing it!

I suggest getting a few drybrushes of various sizes and using them until your hands are bloody. Mine's in my signature (left picture); I think it matches the colours of the GW version reasonably well. If you want to know how anything was done, feel free to ask.

OK I will do. So I guess its the painting portion that is the real bitch about this model then eh?

I will keep all of that in mind. Drybrushing for me is easy though. I use large tank brush most of the time and use a semi wet/ dry brush. Rather then the Super dry that most people use when they paint so mine goes on quicker.

Aye, assembly is quite easy as most of the pieces are very large. Just some mould line removal and lots of glue.

I do suggest keeping the model in 4 separate assemblies: the tower, the two bunker annexes and the walkway. This for easier storage, transportation and painting, and also allows you to use the tower and bunk annex as a separate terrain piece sometimes.
