I will be playing it as a darkstrider in general. Since I play only casual games, my opponents probably won't mind it as a fireblade either.

The replacement hand and pistol are from the pathfinder box. The trigger finger is greenstuff. The rock is made of water putty using a model railroad rock mold.

I really like the way the blue of the face stands out. What colors did you use to do the skin?

Really nice model, especially the white used occasionally, it really attracts the eye and brightens up the model. Great work, I'd love to see more of your Tau.

Thanks!
The face colors are various mixes of Electric blue and magic blue with asurmen blue wash. The base coat was straight electric blue and I darkened from there.

Thanks! The risky part about white stripes is that if you put one too many, your army looks like a soccer team. It's a careful balance.

I will take some more tau photos tonight and post them ITT.

And here they are.

Some are done, some are in progress. Most need more white highlight, which I came up with after finishing them. Extra bonus at the bottom, some brand new pathfinders on the shading step and an eldar bonesinger.

All very nice, apart from the Eldar scum (although that might just be my competitive anti-Eldar inner Tau coming out ), the bases are really effective, I can't help feeling that the fire warriors could do with a little bit of white to break up the constant ochre that's going on... The battlesuit is also great, I really think the white is looking great (can you tell I'm a fan of it yet? ) and a good choice of weapon loadout, too. Really liking these.

Yeah, the fire warriors are probably going to get white on the second plate up on the leg armor and maybe one of the small squares on the gun or scope.

Oh, also, here's a gue'vesa test scheme I'm working on.
