Hallo everyone.
Today i just downloaded a Unofficial for Orks Supplement from Games Workshop on my ipad, it has some very fun characters in it that i would love to try out and share with the rest of the community! But... That beeing said it is unofficial so.
Would you allow the player to use these new Unoffical Warbosses that is described in it? I certainly would, but what do you say?
I have taken the liberty of uploading them so you all can see them and might injoy them or use them yourself.
I hope uploading this isent in any violation on any rules on Dakka as these Supplements are free!
If this has been posted before sorry, i could not find any threads about this.

There's a whole lotta toughness 6 in there. I'm not an ork player...but that does seem interesting. Aren't orks up for a new codex soon? If so...I'm wondering if this is the direction that GW would like to go in regard to the "bigger" warbosses.

No, this is not a direction that I feel GW would be going. Toughness 6 on orks would be rare. Biker Warbosses and possibly a new Monstrous Creature. This is fan-made silliness. Two of these have "Umies is my friends" special rule, which I don't think GW will ever do. Chaos and Orks allies makes sense, but not loyalists. Not ever. Gork's Son's Hellstorm attack with S6 AP3 melta is beyond silly. How do you figure what is and isn't in half range when you add on the complexity of a flame template with Hellstorm positioning? No, I would not let anyone use any of these in a game. Even my friends. Even my friend's hot sister that I really want to date. Warboss ZanZag wrote:Hallo everyone. Are you saying that you got this from GW or that these are fan-made stats meant for GW's game? Either way, someone put a lot of effort into them, which is commendable, but too silly for my tastes. Happy gaming!

I got these from iBooks were i searched for Warhammer. And in the description of this book it is saying that it's from Games Workshop. It was Uploaded 19 of June 2013 so pretty recently.
And i totally agree that some of it is totally insane and 'Umies are friends' is... I have no words... But some of the other bosses are pretty fun thou.

It's for 40k, but I can guarantee you that GW did not release these. This is fan made stuff. We would have seen an announcement from GW on it.
However, as you say, some of these look fun. Many should be restricted to Apocalypse games, if used.
Thanks for sharing!

These are written by a fan. It even says Warhammer 40,000: Unofficial Supplement... and it's Free. Would anything from GW be free? The publisher isn't even GW it's just some guy.
and in the description it says "An Unofficial Supplement to Codex: Orks from Games Workshop...." not that this supplement is from GW.

This is obviously fan-made. The format is off and the T6 abundance is absurd. These random orks have higher toughness than Ghazzy? I think not.

There are soooooo many errors in the rules for these things that even GW editors would be ashamed... And thats saying something. Example: the first warboss has the rule allowing his boy to be special. The way it is written you can give them any unit type and then put them in any FOC. So I'll.just have them all be FMCs filling all troops slots first, then elsewhere. I think the author meant just the FOC thing, but that isn't what he said. Then there is the son of mork, who's upgrades say, "son of gork can take any of..." Well I'm glad some other unit can take these upgrades, but what about the son of mork?
Then all those warbosses, who don't come with a squad, say that he and his unit can take X upgrade... Well I'm glad his non-existant unit can get that upgrade. Maybe if you have extra points left when the game starts and your warboss joins a unit, they can spend those extra points on stuff?
Seriously this is kind of silly.

Lol, I looked over Warboss #1 and it doesn't seem any worse than FW errors. Seems pretty straightforward - take Slugga/Shoota boys in any Force Org slot. Though why anyone would want to play with nearly half a thousand models in their army god only knows.
I'd play any and all of these guys. Once. Then after that, decide if they are worth playing again.

I don't get that, both of my FW books are really nicely written, I reckon better written than my codexes (codecii? whatever). But I agree with the not-actually- GW-publised-yet-unofficial rules, the format is all wrong as well as those glaring errors.

To me it looks like a bunch of guys got sick of their warbosses dying so made them T6... useful... and also wanted to have an MC in the codex... very useful...
Its also got a tinge of people who had a themed army and so wanted a make an HQ with special rules that would specifically benefit them. Such are the boys in any FOC thing. So for 1050pts I can get 180 boys and thats me maxed out. Damn I'm playing a 2k game tomorrow and I want 300 boys... time to make a new HQ guys...
But whatever, it adds a bit of variation so why not give it a try. I wouldn't bother with gork or morks sons though. 500pts? Infinite range destroyer weapon that needs no LOS and hits on a 3+? Riiiight... Not to mention anything other than BS2 on an ork, that sniper dude, hmmm...

I looove the Idea of fielding 240 ork boys + 6 tukks filled with more boys plus battle wagon field with even more boys
It would probable fill the entire table.

Yep, Fan Based and mostly not worth testing.
I have to use Thraka as the Mark here. 225 is the most you'll pay for an HQ. And since He has no equal, it'll be very rare to have his stats, let alone higher than him.
This is where everyone should start and go down from there. The only reason a warboss would have a toughness 6 is because they are on a warbike.
Also it's too much, Yes there should be a Big Mek, Named Boss and only IA 8's Dread Mob has it. Other than that they pretty much have them covered (some may argue that Gutsmek is the Big Mek Warboss - but I would never take him for a Dread heavy Mob.
The Truth is the Orks Don't need HQ help. what they need is More Troop options, Special (Elites, Fast attack, and Heavy Support) units that are actually fieldable. It's one of the Main reasons Most people suggest named unit Bosses - Like Badrukk, Snikrot, and Zagstruk. This would actually make more sense, than overloading HQ choices so that the current choices become obsolete. I can't see how I would play test this.

240 Boyz would cost you 1440pts - so you could only use it for 1850 games, Also I have fielded plenty of 100 figure armies and they are impressive, I usually enlist the help of a friend or 2 to help move the game along. where they go is always issue - they bottle neck easy, the front group roll a 1 on it's run - you are giving cover to your opponent because you are shooting through your own guys and 240+ figures might not even fit in the deployment zone. This is why IG has tanks.

That's nothing. They can be any unit type. I'd happily fill my army with Boyz who are also Monstrous Creatures. Maybe Flying ones.

For the more i look at it and read your arguments the more it is obvious it is fan written.
But even so it isent from GW, i hope some of you injoyed some of these Warbosses
