Subject: Could an Eldar vehicle with vectored engines shoot, pivot, and then shoot?

Okay so here is the scenario:
An Eldar wave serpent advances 6 inches and pivots so that its exit hatch is facing the enemy. The troops inside disembark. They do their thing and move out of the way for the vehicle to pivot to face the enemy. The vehicle has to shoot to pivot. The vehicle shoots its turret weapon, since it can rotate, and then pivots. At this point is has only fired one of the weapons that it can fire that turn. Can it shoot the remaining weapons, at the same target, now that it has LOS for them?

All shooting for a given unit must be declared at the same time. Since the other weapons did not have LoS they would be invalid shots.
That's a long way of saying "No, you can't do that. "

Thanks for the condescending respond. I really needed the translation.

I don't think he was being condescending, he just gave you the technical jargen and then shortened it into a layman's response.

That's your perspective.
I thought that the unit just had to declare which unit it was shooting at, which would leave realigning to fire remaining weapons within the realm of possibility. It seems I was wrong. The question was answered. So, this thread is done.

I would argue your casual dismissal of Bojazz is much more condescending, as was your response to rigeld2. I would also point out that you are asking for clarification on rules, which tend to include a "yes" or "no" answer, as well as a longer more technical "why" answer. You were provided both, with no condescending language used. It is one of the perils of the internet that we cannot add tone to our posts very well, as that is all added by the reader, which you should know by now based on your number of forum posts. rigeld2 provided the response you needed, there is no need to be nitpicky and over-read into the response.

Anyone else find it funny that, when he asked the question he was Canadian, but when he got defensive and reacted to the comments he turned American?! Weird, unless there's a glitch with the country markers.

I can go one better. I am an Australian, currently immigrating to Canada but for the moment visiting friends in America. Poor little flag isn't going to know what to do....

Not that weird - a lot of companies minimise their attack surface by limiting points of egress / ingress to the intranet. The company I work for is the same - UK company routed through Germany.
