Subject: Dark Days in Quarra, a Song of Blades Campaign. (7/15. Session 2)
Myself, and 5 other members of the "Chicago Skirmish Wargames" club kicked off our summer Song of Blades and Heroes campaign last week. Just put up the first blog post. II I will be updating this topic every two weeks (our frequency of meeting) until the end of the campaign. We're going to try and at least note the results of every battle played (about 6 each night). First night's report here:

It got off to a good start. Even though we are playing with 500 point warbands (300 is standard) the games went quickly, and even the two players who are relatively new (have only played a couple trial games) hand the rules down. We learned some valuable lessons from last summer's campaign and some good preparation and guidelines have been laid down in advance so I'm very excited to see where this year's campaign goes.

Again it was 6 of us playing 3 games at a time, but we only played one round of games. I made a special Caravan Raid scenario and painted up a Caravan specifically for it (I'll make a separate Showcase thread later for them). It requires the defending player to leave their own warband and play the caravan, but there are some great rewards to be had. I think every member of the club will get a chance to raid the caravan and to play as the caravan.
