My local club is having a 1000 point tournament and i was wondering what i should add to this or replace. Thanks for your feed-back

Your list is odd in my oppinion Gazzy in a 1k game is not worth it. YOu can have a Mega armored boss for half the price. Also the pk's in the mobs are not realy worth it change them to uge choppas to take care of armor. Also the big shootas on the boom gunz are not needed. That give you a little over 170pts to play with With that you could divide up one of the mobs and add a few boys too make two truck mobs. Or you could add another Battle wagons and a big mek with KFF. Or you could add a whole mob og boys or two mobs of grechin.

Your list is confused on what it wants to do. On one side you have shooting with the Boom wagons and lootas. On the other side you have boyz in a wagon with few gunz and Gazzy which says to me moving forward and krumpin. Either way you have diluted the hitting power to the point that niether will work. You either need more gunz or more speed and in both cases you need more boyz.

At this point I am just thinking that your battlewagon is going to get blown up because it is the only av 14 so consider getting more vehicles or dumping it.

Agree with Crawdadr, Ghazghkul wont be worth it and it is pretty mixed. What else do you have that you could field? I think the easiest alteration that doesn't changes things too much is to take a mega armoured warboss or a KFF mek as your HQ and then use the points on a second battlewagon. Also deffrollas on a battlewagon are a very easy way to get a few S10 hits so they're always good.
I wouldn't really bother with the big shootas on the looted wagons. They wont do much and its more likely to blow up than have a weapon destroyed anyway. Also they're quite weak at AV11 so make an easy first blood target. If you're going to run them I'd take ard case over the big shootas.
Generally I prefer PKs over big choppas due to the extra strength and ap2. But if you're running your guys in battlewagons, it can kinda be covered by having a deffrolla so a big choppa is okay.

So for example:
(95) KFF mek with cybork body
(129) 19 shoota boys - big choppa Nob, big shoota
(140) 20 shoota boys - BC nob, 2 big shootas
(140) 20 shoota boys - BC nob, 2 big shootas
(150) 10 lootas
(110) Battlewagon with deffrolla
(110) Battlewagon with deffrolla
(110) Battlewagon with deffrolla
Runs in at 999pts.

3 AV14 vehicles could cause a bit of strife for many opponents, along with a constant 5+ cover save. You could probably use your looted wagons as battlewagons, but it depends on what you have used as a looted wagon to begin with.

Thanks. I'm from Queenstown Also i have over 5000 points worth of orks at my disposal. Ironically i only have 2 battle wagons and my looted wagons are lemen russes. Also i don't have any Deff rolers. Any other ideas?

Well... I guess you could be further from Auckland, like Invercargill...

Well with that many you could just go with a horde, like 4x30 or something. But I imagine you've tired of moving that many guys as I have. You could try going something like:

Battlewagon + shootas (250ish)
Battlewagon + Shootas (250ish)
Trukk + sluggas (140ish)
Trukk + Sluggas (140ish)
Lootas (150)
KFF mek

The costs are just approximates, with no deffrollas the wagon units should be around 230. Even though you have an extra unit, I'd say this is weaker overall as trukks are so easy to kill. If you have bikers you could chuck in a unit of them, may be a tight squeeze to fit nob bikers in but it could work. If you took every thing bare bones:

KFF (85)
battlewagon + 20 shootas (210)
battlewagon + 19 shootas (204)
Lootas (150)

That leaves you 350 points to get a unit of nob bikers so:
5 nob bikers (320)
painboy + 5 cybork bodies
1 PK, 2 Big choppas, 1 shoota-skorcha combi weapon
For the last 30pts, could chuck it in the bikers again, or get a cybork body on the mek and some big shootas on the battlewagons. Overall though its pretty lean.

sounds like a pretty awesome list but how do you think i'd cope against Land raiders?

Ya the only reliable landraider killers are the warboss's and dreads (including kanz), and deff rollers, next is charging nobs with pks, and then you have just Zapp guns and tank bustas for a shot at taking them out.

Do you think a warboss or the mek would be better then? The warboss would be on a warbike

Def Rolla are just decoration, you could put the Ram on your Battlewagon (ask them if they would allow the ram to be a rolla).

But the only units that are competitive are Nob Bikkers and Big Gunz. If you want to hold your own in a 1k event - you will need both of these units and even with them, if your opponents have built competitive forces you will still probably be crushed. If you are entering just to have fun - Go crazy. bring things such as Storm Boyz with Zagstruck, A Big Mek with a SAG and even a Weirdboy. You'll have a lot more fun playing Orks if you aren't looking to win.

As for the list, at this points level I can't recommend Big Guns enough. Swap out your Lootas and take maximum Kannons/Lobbas.

I would but there will be a lot of flyers so I need something like lootas

This is what i would probably bring to a 1k tournament
Gazzy is just to fat for his own good, and the KFF actually helps somewhat
Powerclaw nobs are a must, and especially when you have 2 in a squad you cant get destroyed due to a challenge, you will still have a claw to dish out instadeaths to many opponents
not to mention its can-oppening capability
i could see cutting down the lootas into a 10man squads for an aegis def line , but i think that 13 is just better and with smart deployment they should be just fine without the aegis def line
The 1 Dakkajet is selfexplanatory, it provides insane dakka, can shoot down enemy flyers with relative ease, and is an allaround great unit fast atk to bring

What do you think i take big gunz? I could put them behind the aegis defence line. If I did what should i have them as?

I just realized that this thread is over a week old. How did you do in the Tournament? Above all else I hope you had fun.

If your looted are russes then taking the turret off and magnetising a DR to the frot is cake ..russes are close enough to BW size to make no diff

I go blitzed 8 nill, killed just about everything turn 1. So I came second in the tournament over all.
