The instructions for the Stormlord kit are a bit wanting for detail in general, but can anyone tell me what this bit is/where it goes? Is it just a random piece? Does it go with anything else?

Also, I previously built a Bane blade and on both kits the rear panel (with the engine molding) has been warped a bit. Is this that common to the set? Has anyone else had this problem? It wasn't excessive this time, but that's two for two on this issue.

Looked at both the Shadowsword and Baneblade manuals, and its not shown in the Shadowsword, but that piece is shown in the Baneblade manual. It goes on the bottom left corner of the rear panel. There is a square the main part goes in, and then it curves down to a small point. If you look in the Baneblade instructions they have a picture showing the rear panel and where everything should go.

As for the warping, I've got both kits, and didn't have any issues with mine. If they are unusable, call up GW customer service, they are good about replacing parts.

Not sure if you looked into it, but you can make both tanks on one tank body. I'm still working on mine, but I've magnetized it so I can have a Baneblade, Shadowsword, or any variation of the two on one body.
