trying to write some more fluff for my army of Fallen that have been converted to the glory of chaos by Tzeentch, and in terms of army list i seem to have a ton of units with MoN, yet the armys theme is they are "tricked" by tzeentch twisting his words by saying only through him could they "change enough to be redeemed and forgiven in the eyes of the emperor and the Dark Angels"
now im thinking that as he never says WHEN or HOW they will change to be redeemed he could have called upon Papa Nurgle to mutate, change, and strengthen them into an army that Tzeentch could utilize to proceed to try and wipe out the DA by utilizing their most hated enemies against them.

anyways if this is too confusing, im sorry, but if you get what im saying let me know what you think, or if you have something to add/another more sensible idea, let me know!

Tzeentch will team up with anyone and everyone, most likely while also stabbing them in the back. I see no issues pairing him up with pretty much anyone/thing in the 40k universe (except maybe necrons).

Tzeentch doesn't really 'team-up' with anyone really. Rather, he manipulates & uses others to further his own plots & schemes.
While he hates Nurgle above all, he'll still use Nurgle when it suits him.

Hell, Tzeentch's Great Plan is so convoluted and messed-up that sometimes Tzeentch even seemingly works against his own servants!

When it comes to the major chaos gods, Nurgle and Tzeentch kinda don't like each other. They represent different ends of the spectrum...one is about change...and the other is about making everything uniform/static (if i remember correctly/old fluff)

That said...its your army. Play with it as you please. If there was to be a Chaos god that was manipulating others....then it would be Tzeentch.

Personally, if I was your opponent, I wouldn't care. I hate to pigeon hole the abilities of the chaos deities. Nurgle always confers toughness? Slaanesh always gives initiative bonuses to their favored units? Surely the codices don't represent their total "power". Just be clear on the rules that your using...that's all.

As for mutating things...that is Tzeentch's specialty. In fact, that is one of the major reasons why the Thousand Sons did what they did...to prevent those changes. Thus, I don't think he would "ask" Nurgle to do the mutating. In fact...making your units appearing to be something else, thus allowing them to take the blame and repercussions, is a very manipulative thing to do.

Tzentch = change, hope, plotting
Nurgle = apathy, comfort(or lack of fear), generosity

As said before, Tzentch does whatever needs to be done for his plans, but Nurgle would need some pretty good incentive to work together with Tzentch.

Then again, they are called chaos gods for a reason.

So play em as if MoN is how they are in rules, but in actuality it is Tzeentch who mutated them to SEEM as though it were nurgle's "gift" so that the DA think it was Nurgle, and not tzeentch?
