Hi folks
tryed something a while back, didnt work out quite how i hoped
so the last few days ive been thinking of revisiting this and tinkered a little with it and was wondering if anyone has any feedback, perhaps on the colour scheme itself (<its elf heheheh) or things anything you may pic up on.
here are the pics from the creator
i think they possibly resemble Ctho Craftworld (slightly), but pics of those guys seem pretty speculative.
thanks > Automatically Appended Next Post: Or i could just go Ulthwe hehehe

Why brown? It's not the most exciting colour to look at or to paint... Also, the blue of the helm, the white of the faceplate, then the green of the gems and the red of the sash is a bit too much. Try one main colour, a contrast colour, and then one detailing colour.

I personally like the brown blue and red. Rather then green for the gems try either a red or blue to tie in with the paint scheme.

I felt like trying brown, i really have no idea why, really, the blue was the natural choice as its browns natural compliment.
just found this after trying a different search term in google

Brown does work well with blue, it's true, but generally a rich, dark brown and a lighter blue as contrast. The complimentary colour to blue is orange, not brown.
The problem with brown is that it can turn out a bit too... er... 'organic' rather than clean.

I think you could probably pull off the brown if you tied the gems in as blue, kept the red sash as a splash of colour and possibly did the shoulder segments in a different complementing colour. However, that said, I reckon your best bet would be to avoid the brown as it's probably going to be a bit earthy - getting lost in your base and/or terrain if you use them for gaming. Orange really is the natural contrast of blue so I would lean towards that IMHO.
