Hey all. I decided, for my upcoming Minotaurs killteam project, to make a little fluff behind each member of the small but powerful force, known as Omerta Squad. (bonus internet points for getting the name ^^)

This is what i have so far-I plan on doing a good few more- lemme know what you think

Omerta squad
Omerta Squad is an elite task force, assembled by Lord Moloc himself for the purpose of undercover missions of the direst importance. The members of this squad are legends among the chapter for various reasons, each catching the personal attention of Lord Moloc for their astounding war efforts.

Brother-Captain Beowulf, the Beastslayer
Beowulf quickly rose up above his battle brothers with his tenacity-the luck of the Emperor seems to follow him everywhere, he has an uncanny ability of facing indescribable odds and emerging victorious. Armed soley with his renowned hammer, ‘Mostrucædre’, he leads Omerta squad against fearsome enemies head-on, personally seeking the largest and most challenging individual they have to offer.

Devastator Veteran Rhus, Bane of the Living Bone
Rhus is a long-serving veteran of the Minotaurs-one of the oldest living marines of the chapter-and in his long career has proven himself on several occasions to be worthy as a member of Omerta. Particularly, in the battle for Aurixon II, an Imperial Forge world, where his trained marksmanship and tactical brilliance led to the falling of several Eldar Wraithknights, and victory over the invaders. He carries a standard-issue Heavy Bolter, and wields the great weapon with remarkable ease.

Brother-Marine Helglen, the Last man of Valeris
Brother Helglen may be young compared to his fellow squad members, but is by far the most respected. Where others fall, he stands. Where others flee, he holds the line. True, his bravery has been questioned as stupidity and blind rage, but his devotion to a cause is unmatched. This stubbornness was truly demonstrated at the Battle of Valeris, where Brother Helglen stood among two hundred fallen guardsmen as the last line of defence against a horde of Orks, successfully utilising the environment to bottleneck them until a liberation force would arrive. To this day he is armed with the Flamer that melted the face of the Ork leader known as “Kraktoof”, sending the mobs of greenskins into a self-destructive, disorganised panic.

Brother-Dreadnought Malgus
While it is not considered chapter code to see a Dreadnought recognised as remaining a squad member after his conversion, Lord Moloc saw it agreeable to make an unusual exception. Brother Malgus was a fierce fighter, often taking the enemy on blade-to-blade, which would ultimately be his demise. Cleaved in two by a Necron Overlord (Who has been ID’ed, and is currently considered Priority One by the Minotaurs), he awoke as a massive mechanical construct of war. Even in death he serves. He continues to fight exclusively alongside Omerta squad when necessary, proving to be a great tactical benefit by supplying additional armour and firepower. His presence inspires valour and courage in the members of Omerta.

I'll do about 3-4 more marines, a terminator or two, and probably a captain+apothecary+standard bearer. Thoughts?

I like this. Creating fluff for each model is often difficult but for smaller forces it works well. Especially for things such as kill-team which is especially narrative driven.

Come into my web, said the spider to the fly.
Come rest your wings, and let us talk eye to eye.
For I am a spider, and you are the fly. Now that you are here, let us sit, and say hi.
But I have have no morsel to share, nor anything to eat. But wait, what is that stickiness upon your feet.
Ah now I have you, now I can eat. Now I can enjoy you, or store you as meat.
For I am the spider, and you are the fly. How else could it have gone, between one such as you, and one such as I.

Omerta (The 'a' usually has an accent) means non-cooperation with authorities, and being bound by honour. Thought it was appropriate for the Minotaurs ;D

Will post more later on

Hadn't thought of that. But me and some local gamers are making a lot of fluff like this, so yes I'll definitely do that. Cheers for the idea.

No worries. I was just saying that to another poster. With the roll of the dice adding extra flavour to your stories, you'll never know who will actually survive the bloodshed!

Mutated Chosen Chaos Marine

This is nicely written. I can't think of anything wrong with any of the fluff.

Do you have pictures of any of the models?

I'm ordering the bits for Rhus and a Sergeant (Beowulf is now a Captain) tomorrow night. And might pick up a venerable dreadnought kit for Malgus.

Writing the next few marines now, and a Termie

Brother-Sergeant Belial, of the Emperors Light
Sergeant Belials history and recruitment to Omerta is seen as highly controversial amongst the Chapter and Adeptus Astares. Originally Vanguard to 5th Company, he was captured by a Chaos raiding party. Presumed dead, he was absent for two years, until a sudden abrupt return amongst the chaos of Splinter Fleet Medusa. Unarmed, with armour barely reminiscent of his chapter colours, he was seen tearing through Tyranids bear-handed for several days and nights, before being contained and returned by Ultramarine scouts. After several months of brutal scouring and interrogation, he was decreed pure-the two year taint of chaos had not scarred him at all. His exemplary strength and iron will brought him to Molocs' attention. He is a fierce, bitter leader of his men, but some members of Omerta still doubt his loyalty and intent.

Brother-Marine Daniel
Daniel has always been something of an enigma to Omerta. His recruitment is shrouded in mystery, and his records are inaccessible to the highest ranking members of the chapter-it is questioned if even Lord Moloc fully understands this individual. He is also incredibly enclosed, barely talking except when entirely necessary. His voice his known to be stern, but sinister, even though its rarity causes it to be forgotten by most of Omerta. He wields a scoped boltgun, adorned with ancient, untranslatable text. Captain Beowulf has personally addressed Ivanus Enkomi with suspicion of the matter, only to be assured that Daniel is “The finest marine that will ever grace your ranks, Beastslayer”.

Brother-Marine Ezio
By far the most... unorthodox member of Omerta, and possibly the entire chapter, Ezio displays great enjoyment in claiming victory and vanquishing enemies. Often, a positive attitude of this nature would be encouraged, but Ezio’s apparent thrill-of-the-fight is taken with deep concern by many of Omerta’s numbers. True, his pleasure-seeking attitude often helps win the day, and gained him entrance to Omerta, but Sergeant Belial is concerned he bares the taint of Chaos.

==I==
INQUISOTOR ADMINISTRUM NOTICE

The Imperial order has often stretched their patience for the actions of lord Asterion Moloc, and this “Omerta” initiative is no exception. However, as per usual, the Minotaurs chapter prove to be exemplary fighters of the Imperium and are therefore permitted the leeway they seem to enjoy so freely.

This is an Inquisitorial note for future record keeping-“Omerta” is NOT to be considered a squad among the chapter. From what little we have been told, this ‘Sqaud’ exists as a separate entity within the Chapter, almost a separate Company, and acts independently. This appears to be highly unorthodox behaviour for the Minotaurs Chapter, and further investigation via covert observation is pending.
