I finally took the plunge and started the Eldar army I have been looking at since 3rd edition. This is pretty much my entire collection at this point. The next thing I want to add is bumping up the Jetbike squad and some Warwalkers, but I'm not there yet. But I do have a friend who has pretty much everything for Eldar, so I do have access to the rest of the book.

here is what I drew up.

1850 pt Eldar

HQ:
Illic Nightspear

Warlock Council (2)
-Singing Spears

TROOPS:
Dire Avengers
+5 Dire Avengers
-Exarch
-Twin Linked Avenger Catapult
-Wave Serpent
-Twin Linked Scatter Laser
-Shruiken Cannon
-Spirit Stones
-Holofields

Dire Avengers
+5 Dire Avengers
-Exarch
-Twin Linked Avenger Catapult
-Wave Serpent
-Twin Linked Scatter Laser
-Shruiken Cannon
-Spirit Stones
-Holofields

Guardian Defender Squad
-Scatter laser

Guardian Defender Squad
-Scatter laser

Windrider Jetbike Squad

Rangers
-Alaitoc Pathfinders

ELITES:
Wraithguard Squad
+4 Wraithguard

FAST ATTACK:
Vyper Squadron
+1 Vyper
-Bright Lances
-Shruiken Cannons
-Crystal Targeting Matrix

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Wraithlord
-2 Flamers
-Bright Lance
-Scatter Laser
-Ghost Glaive

TOTAL: 1849

I know he's not popular but I love snipers and since Illic and the Pathfinders are always Precision Shots, that gives me a great chance at Slay The Warlord in pretty much every game. And since they all have Shrounding, they are pretty well protected themselves.

A little lacking on range anti-armor of AV13-14. Walking Wraithguard, two frail Vipers and a Wraithlord might not be enough. Also, are you relying on your two Serpents and three scatter lasers for anti-flyer?

Honestly i don't prefer illic, he'll hit every time, but he only wound half the time. And with lookout sir, that slay the warlord probably won't happen. I do take rangers though, I usually infiltrate them onto an objective, and whenever they get shot I go to ground for 2+ cover. It's basically a 60 point shoot at it with like everything, or let me have an objective. With the extra points you have, you should take the avatar. He's amazing. Give him fast shot, and disarming strike. That will give you slay the warlord better then illic and pathfinders. Just my 2 pence.

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.
