Hey folks, just making a new guy thread. I want to state that I've never actually played any tabletop wargaming. When I was young I was very much into warhammer for the models, the actual gameplay elements were lost on me. I was more or less interested in building, making conversions, and painting my miniatures. I was rather young at this time and probably didn't have the attention or maturity to fully understand the rules and grasp them anyway. I am now getting back into the hobby, I'm not fully immersing myself yet but I'm buying up assorted bits bags to play around with conversions and to learn a higher quality of painting. So at the moment i'm more or less someone who likes the lore of warhammer, and the miniatures for the purposes of creating my own displays.

I'm also picking up a number of first generation necron models, they are by far my favorite. I love the Necron lore and pretty much all the models but the old school ones capture something which I feel is lost in the newer models. If I do end up playing 40k, Necrons are definitely the way to go for me and i'd like to incorporate many of those old school first gen models into my army. I also like the warhammer fantasy, and I'll probably picking up a lot of those just for purposes of wanting them on my displays.

Good to be aboard, I like many of the posts here which deal with custom work, conversions, scratch pieces, and painting... and I'll be using this site as a constant reference for ideas, and learning.
