The SwarmLord Warlord
Two tyrant guard with lash whips
Tyranid Prime bonesword lashwhip, scything talons, toxin sacs and regeneration
6 ymgarl genestealers
6 ymgarl genestealers
2 zonethrope
5 tyranid warriors with scything talons, rending claws and toxin sacs
Tervigon with catalyst, onslaught, toxin sacs, adrenal glands, scything talons, cluster spines
10 termigants
10 termigants
20 gargoyles adrenal glands and toxin sacs
2 carnifex with 2x brainleech devourers, frag spines
Idea is to have swarmy and friends go up the center offering extended range and buffs , keeping one flank with the gargoyles and tervigon while the other has the warriors and dakkafexs following them . Zoens fall behind swarmy to help keep termigants on objectives and offer back up synapse if swarmy and friends go down .
Thoughts ?

I would drop 1 tyrant guard so swarmy doesn't get screwed by majority toughness whenn he rolls iron arm.
I count 1861 points without the guard. So if you drop 2 gargoyles you can get a brood of 3 hiveguard.

I would combine the units of Termagants. You don't need two because you're running a single Tervigon. 20 will help you out when it's kill points and in all other missions you can spawn plenty of MSU gants.

Also drop AG, ST and Onslaught on the Tervi and cluster spines on the fexes to free up a grand total of 105 points which brings you to1821.
I would drop one gargoyle and bring another Tervigon with TS and Catalyst or add something else.

Definitely decrease the tyrant guard to 1...swarmy has an 80% chance of getting iron arm.
Toxin sacs are the only meh wargear on the prime
The tervigon doesnt need scytals
definitely group the 2 termagant squads
I think the gargoyles could drop toxin sacs
Fexes usually don't get their 5 pts worth out of frag spines. Also...split them so you can shoot more targets...if you plan on endurancing them...keep them together.
Otherwise I think the list is great...all of these changes are minor and barely add up in points so its not vital that they change.

Definitely leave Onslaught on, and swap for Biomancy. AG are also good to have, not so much Scytals

Lots of great advice ! I didn't even think about the guard bringing down swarmys toughness . I will have to tweak the list a little. Thanks everyone ! Automatically Appended Next Post: Does the tyrant guard give up first blood if its killed since they count as a victory point ?

I like it all, except for the warriors. I want to like them, I really do, they're some of the nicest models available in the nid codex IMO, and they wreck in close combat, but no matter how often I run them, I can never get them into the enemies lines. At best they absorb wounds for the prime and die, then by the time he sees combat he's on his own.
