Moving to the North Dallas(Allen/Frisco) area next week and was wanting to find some good spots for 40k games. Was hoping there were some spots that had like 40k night or something. Not usually a fan of going to a place and waiting around just to see if another peep shows if i can avoid it. If anyone knows of some good locations/days/times please let me know.

Thanks!

Beginning player here. I live in North Dallas area. About 1.2k of Space Marines and working on a Chaos Army. PM if interested in setting up a game sometime.

GW store in Frisco has pick-up games pretty much all weekend. Sometimes there can be a wait, or you can get into some multiplayer games.

Two good local game shops to check out:

MadnessGames and Comics in Plano. Several game tables with terrain. Not sure if there is a specific WH night. I see a lot of Warmahorde games there. Large store, great selection of a wide variety of stuff and good selection of GW material.

Hobby town USA in Plano. Hobby Town has two game tables available, and usually has games on Wednesday nights I think.

Both stores are in the process of moving and expanding , so I would call in advance. Hobby Town is moving a fair distance, destination near 75 and Spring Creek I think. Madness moving to larger location in the same strip mall.

Hobby Town offers GW models at 20% off, selection is somewhat limited.

Good luck and welcome to North Dallas.

Thanks guys! sounds like there is a decent spot in richardson and plano, bith of which are close to me. Kind of unfortunate that the GW store in frisco is so small though, as that one is super close as well.

Hello,

I am located in Carrolton/Addison area. I have about 1500-2000 points of Dark Angels and 1200 points of Tau. I am always up for a game on the weekends.

Just a heads up they're opening a new GW in Carrollton to replace the one in Grapevine that closed last week.

Also, the GW Grapevine crew of painters and gamers has shifted to Area 51 in Grapevine as a home until a new store is available.

There is some talk of starting a small escalation league of 40K players in Fort Worth as well.

If you don't mind a drive to Dallas each week check out Gunslinger Games on Thursday nights after 6:30ish. That is our weekly 40k night. It ranges from maybe one game playing to 4-5 games playing depending on who is in town. Now that it's summer the crowd is getting thinner so there are less games going on each week. I'm usually up there and more than happy to play a game. (25% discount on all miniatures)

The GW in Frisco has a younger crowd too, if that's what you're looking for.

I'm not sure how many people play up at Madness Games & Comics regularly but they did recently move into their new store which is substantially larger than the previous, and it combines their game center and main store together. (No discount on miniatures)

Texas Toy Soldier is more of an afternoon/early evening store with Tuesday nights being their 40k league nights from 5pm to 10pm. (25% discount on miniatures)

Hobby Town in Plano is moving very soon if they haven't already moved to their new location. (20% discount on miniatures)

You can sometimes find games at Gunslinger on Saturdays. I would check texas40k.com and post in meet-ups.

This Saturday is a possibility for me in the afternoon. Madness is closer, but i could do Gunslinger.

I would also check Hobbytown Plano at 75 and Parker Rd to see if there are regulars on Saturday.

I have up to about 2k of CSM, but would prefer a game in the 750-1250 range to keep time under control.

Saturday the 14th is an end of league Apoc game at Gunslinger, so unlikely to be any pick up games there that day.

Texas Toy Soldiers is my go-to spot and I'm in Plano (ugh).

There is actually going to be an 800 pts "Wife Swap" tournament on the 7th (Saturday) that I'm bringing my Chaos Marines to get slaughtered in.

Also, the Hobby Town in Plano is gone. I'm right down the street from where it was. lol
