If a stealth Shas'vre with target lock takes 2 drones, do the drones have to shoot the same target as the unit or the Shas'vre?
Is this the case for all drones?
Also shield drones have a 4++ save is this conferred to the owning model or on the drone?
Shadowsun's drones specifically say confers a 3++ who is this to all models in the unit, just Shadowsun, just the drones?

The drones shoot as the rest of the unit, its pretty clear cut. The Shas'vre is equipped with the TL, not the drones. Hope that helped.

The shield drones 4++ is only for the drone, So to use it you must place the shield drone between the suit and the enemy so the drone is hit first.

Thanks. I thought that was pretty much how it all was I just had some doubts.

Shield drones are ablative wound models you stick in front because you want them to die first...these just have an invul save so they have a chance to survive unlike most random models you'd put out there.

Personally i dont think theyre that important. 4+ is just a 50-50 and because of the drones tiny figure on a tall pole they never get cover if they get seen at all, so theyre always taking that 4+ even from Lasgun fire. Might as well just take the Gun drones for extra dakka before it dies, since majority of things that pen 4+ are either short range with lots of shots (think 36" if the furthest for that one) or long range with very low shots.
Back in the old codex they were awesome because they took the armor saves of their unit. Cant believe they took that away. 2+/3+ drones with 4++ were pretty hard to take out.
