I am unable to find this explicitly in the BRB and decided to ask here. If I have a transport vehicle that is not a dedicated transport, can I deploy it wi a unit inside? For example, can I deploy a battle wagon with a unit of orks inside or do I have to embark the orks turn 1?

Follow up question:

If I buy a dedicated transporter for a unit (say a razorback) and then buy a second transport (say a Landraider) can the unit still start in the undedicated transporter?

Yes.
Only Dedicated transports have a limit on what can begin the game inside them (other than the normal question of "will it fit").

Yes. the requirement for dedicated transport is that ONLY the unit htat bought it (plus ICs) *may* start in it. THere is no "must" start in it requirement
