Hi here is my idea for a blood angels jump army.

250 - Mephiston

090 - Sanguinary Preist (PP, JP)
090 - Sanguinary Preist (PP, JP)

240 - Assault Squad (TH,2x MG)
240 - Assault Squad (TH,2x MG)

100 - Scout Squad (4x Sniper, ML, Camocloaks)
100 - Scout Squad (4x Sniper, ML, Camocloaks)

145 - Predator Tank (Autocannon, LC sponsons, Stormbolter)
145 - Predator Tank (Autocannon, LC sponsons, Stormbolter)

1400 - Points Total

I am not sure what to add to bring it up to 1500 points, maybe something to support Mephistion? Can we have some ideas on that please?

That's a good idea, although how hard is it to counter fliers? I haven't played against them before. Are other fliers needed to shoot them down? Is the stormraven without any upgrades worth it?

I agree, swap a Scout Squad for a Stromraven, best kit out for it would be the front mounted t/l multi-melta and the t/l lascannon turrets. As far as flyers go the Stormraven is one of the toughest you can get, the thing ignores melta's extra d6! Although in all honesty no one shoots at flyers with melta guns, it's still a tough vehicle, not easily taken down.

The stormraven isn't the best air defence around (I prefer allied imperial guard vendettas or necron scythes), but it's the only decent way to counter enemy fliers in a pure blood angles list (besides using fortifications like the aegis line with quad gun, which would also be good in this list). Aircraft like the stormraven can use the skyfire rule, meaning that they don't need 6s to hit fliers like the rest of your army does.

If you don't regularly play against fliers then it might not be worth investing in a method to counter them, but at the moment in this list it would be pretty devastating if you did come up against enemy fliers.

I'd consider dropping the storm bolters from the tanks too, the tanks would really want to be firing at armour and tough targets, not infantry.

I do all the time. Including Stormravens. Against the Stormraven the MM is a 24" krak launcher that has a better chance to kill it.
