Plan is to just walk across the board and punch the opponent in the face let him deal with all the high toughness values he can and see what happens.

Edit dropped the Glaives / Scatter Sheild and Scatter Lasers. For the two heavy D-Cannons and added an extra D-scythe and Wraithcannon WG.

Should be entertaining at the very least...try it out and let us know how it goes. But for WK i would just use the standard heavy d-cannons...and stick him in cover...nothing really high str/low ap ignores cover...or if it does, its a template, that can only get one hit on him anyway.

Interesting build... I have not tried the wraithblades out with the dual blades as I worry about their survival with no invuln. I usually run the axes and shields, but this is my opinion. Wraithknight - up to you but if running the glaive I would use one SL and then a starcannon or SC as they will be twinlinked with target lock from 1 SL. But I agree with previous posted on the Double D-cannons personally. I also like the sun-cannon Scatterlaser build - it is 300pts but man does it wreck face with infantry - even termies with ap2. I like the D-scythes but man are they expensive, I think to be really effective they need to be in a transport to get to enemy faster - otherwise they will just stay away and shoot at range. I think tau might really eat up this army as they will shoot the crud out of you before you get to them, esp on hammer and anvil deployment. just my 2 cents.

I was thinking the same thing on the Wraithknight just going with the Heavy D-Cannons, probably will end up just going with that.

For the D-scyths if it's an objective based game I'll leave them sitting on that. They are KILLER objective holders. I've had tremendous luck with them.

Was also thinking about possibly dropping a squad of the D-scyths and taking 4 Spirit seers try to get some rebirth shenanigans going on.

I agree with this comment; I think heavy D-cannons will be more useful guns and the Wraithknight is powerful enough in melee anyway.

Also, I wanted to post to say I chuckled at the term 'elfzilla'.

Let me know how this list works out for you! As well as any chances you'd make to improve after the game.

I was always interested in an Eldar army that had this theme. I would never run their vehicles or small infantry as they look a little off to me. But this list, this is something I could be interested it. I just don't know how viable it is.

I would personally try and get the d-scythe units in wave serpents to make sure they can get close enough to use their deadly flamers.

Otherwise they could just get shot to death or tied up by cheap troops in combat.

Also it may be worth swapping the avatar for a farseer for guide/doom/fortune/prescience.

IMO the Avatar's main use (other than being a beatstick which you can use the wraithlords and wraith knight for) is making nearby units fearless, which is of no use here as the wraithguard are already fearless!

Rohan the main point of this is forcing them to choose what to focus, With 3 T8 multi wound to contend with and 32 T6 and a T6 5 wound models they are really going to have to focus on something to render it useless.

Also if I run up against an at least semi assault army they are going to be hurting. Yes Tau are going to be scary but there aren't many Tau players where I play.

If I can slog across the board and get in range they are in trouble, if I can't I'm in trouble. It's not like we got 20's on the game.

Very Interesting build and very scary to think of that deploying opposite you.

One item you might want to address. You are going to struggle against flyers. Maybe drop the avatar and get a fancy SR71 blackbird?

So Friday night play against a Blood Angles with Guard detachment.

His list from what I remember
Dante /w Recluiarch, Priest, Lamarties w/ Assault Marines deep striking
Another squad of Assault Marines deep striking
Master of Ordinance some other guys that didn't do much
Veteran Squad
3 Russ Battle tanks with demolisher canon's and camo netting
Ageis Defence Line w/ Auto Cannons

Turn 1
I went first move up everything run what I can. Take some shots with the Bright Lances and the Heavy D canon he makes all his cover saves.
His turn one, His battle cannons unload on a squad of WG w/ Cannons in cover hits on all 3 shots wounds everything, I make crap saves lose all that squad to Battle Cannons.
His master of ordinance hits some WG w/ Scythes and my Spirt Seer, that are going for the Relic. I got the power that grants +1 armor saves that saves the squad from any deaths.

Turn 2
I continue to move up. My WG squad makes it to the relic after their run move. Avatar takes a pot shot at a Veteran guardsman, roll 1 to wound! I'm rolling awesome tonight. He again makes all his saves vs BL's and Heavy D-cannon shots against his Battle Tanks.
Both of his Assault Squads come in Dante 's group comes in behind a cliff out of LOS of anything I have. His other squad mishaps directly on top of their own squad I get to place them. I put them between a squad of Scyths Blades and Cannons that was walking up the right flank.

His battle tanks target the Wraith Knight do 1 wound to it. His Vetreran's get Bring it down and unload on the avatar managing to get 2 wounds though. Master of Ordinance hits the WG on the objective but I again make my saves. His Veterans assault the avatar hoping to tie him up for a round or two. The avatar manages to kill a single veteran with 3 hits made and 2 ones to wound! They do nothing back and fail their moral test Avatar still manages to sweeping advance them only actually killing one modle in CC.

Turn 3
Move up my left flank again consisting of the 2nd group of Scythes. Move my WK with in 2 inches of the first of his Russ's. Move my WL's back closer to the center to add fire support to against Dante's squad. Move my Scythes with the objective in range to take out his misshapped Assault Squad, a unit of WB's w/ in 1 of them and my right side cannon group moves back w/ in range to make 2 shots against the misshaped unit. That unit dies to 1 man in the shooting phase. Cleaned them up with the WB's in the assault phase. WL's take out a 2 of the marines in Dante's unit with Scatter Lasers and BL fire. WK Misses both DCannon shots vs the Russes, but assaults them and destroys the squad in one round of combat.

Dante moves up and takes some shots at my rear WB unit that's been sitting back all game kills 2 of them with pistol shots, getting himself in position to kill them w/ CC and get into my Scythe group w/ the Relic next turn. Master of Ordinance misses. Dante Assults wipes out the 3 WB's that were left of that unit. They make all feel no pain / saves no one dies to CC.

Turn 4
Avatar and WK get into the Master of Ordinance in CC wiping them out. Scyths w/ Relic, Wraith Lords open up on Dante's unit killing most of them lots of 6's on the to wound killing the Recluisarch w/ ID wound. WG w/ D Cannon's manage to kill a few more. WraithLord makes it into CC wiping them out.

Cool congrats on the batte. I still wonder about the blades vs the axe dudes for survivabilty. I think an all guard tank blob would do more against the wraith or the Plasma and Predator Leman Russes. I am not big on the Ordinance ones now as they get only that shot vs heavy vehicles can fire all their weapons if they are not ordinance making the plasma and Predator loaded to the teeth with heavy bolters so very deadly esp with prescience.
Congrats on your game.... good luck on future games

Agreed that this will be a serious problem for many armies with the high toughness values all around. Not that there are all that many of us out there, but you'll likely run into issues with dark eldar. Seeing as the main weapons are darklight (S8/AP2) and tons of poison (toughness = not relevant), they could give some headache.
Once the wraithknight and wraithlords are off the board, the pointy elves would fly circles around this.
The wraithblades seem too slow and vulnerable without any type of transports.

There are three kinds of people in this world. Those than can do math... and those that can't.
