Since having a baby in February, I haven't had much time for painting. I'm not complaining; having a miniature 'me' is the best thing I have done!

In between the sleepless nights, early morning nappy changes and mopping up sick, I have managed just a few 5-10 minute painting sessions. I have worked on Gotrek, the half-pint hero in all his stoic awesomeness. I am not a good painter, I just go for TT. I am pleased with this, although the tattoos were better in my head and I think the fabled star metal axe needs... something else.

You were just thinking of your stout, fierce, baby when doing this? Probably has the same manners and would be as scary if handed an axe.

All honesty: looks great. I would suggest a bit more wash and highlighting on the metallics: not sure if too much glare or just needs to deepen the colour. The rock seems to upstage the model.

Beard and Mohawk looks good with the highlights.

More wash, sounds like a good idea. It definitely needs something, it does look a bit better in the flesh but like you said, it is a bit flat.
