So what to get? An Aegis for the back field Noise Marines? Some big guns? More buffs? I know Lucius is situational but he is a fun model to play with.

well i think you should split your noise marines into 3 squads , give the champion each a melta bomb and maybe a power weapon. your a very melee intensive armor witch is bad this edition but range for you on noise is not much better seeing as they are so expensive

you could either go range witch is hideously expensive, get rid of the spawns, grab obliterators and put everyone under an agis line

you could go melee witch is bad this edition, but cheaper and swap the spawn for some dreads with the tentical weapons that the name of it is escaping me atm, and what ever else you like that is melee and good

keep the drake, dalymiddleborro will tell you to take another with the 175pts you have unspent. Stop him from spaming by editing your list asap or give a good reason not to.

Well i was thinking that huge squad with IoE would make it quite a tough cookie to crack going forward.

Spawn seem to be good (especially when buffed with a sorc)

Going 3 x BM Squads means i have not a lot going forward to attack objectives.

I may have to drop Lucius anyway. He may have some fun rules but he isn't all that.

I think with a backfield NM squad i could get the Aegis for some AA/Additional shooting.

Sorry thats 2 x Blast Masters not 3 x Sonic Blasters

What I mean by that is when you shoot at a squad of boyz, the 1st blast templet wipes out maybe 7-8, now there is a big hole in that squad. The 2nd bm from another squad now targets the same squad but there are so few bodies so you only kill 3-4.

If you had 2 bm in the same squad, you can target same enemy unit, regardless of scattering out the 1st or 2nd, you are still shooting at a full squad before wounds are allocated. That is what I mean by stacking

what about picking up some mobility for the troops? currently they're all just a static gunline... or if you want static maybe some oblits or havocs?

Yeah I want some mobility but mostly in the troops slot for that mad dash rush to the objectives not in my reach.

How about a 10 man cultist Squad in a Rhino (that belongs to a NM Squad)?
Hide them at the back until they need to make a dash!

Problem is Rhino's die so so easily (the main reason I find CSMs hard to play right now since the Marines are pricey and hard to get into position).

That's part of the issue; if you keep your NM in a gunline in the back behind an Aegis, sure they're all comfy but they can't reach much more than halfway over the board. And depending on the gametypes you're playing/where the objectives end up, that's just a lose for you. 24" on fantastic guns makes playing NM against anything other than 'Nids or Orks more of a pushing than a waiting game by necessity. Especially if the enemy has anything in the way of long-range dakka.

You consider grabbing MoS on your Sorc? Symphony of Pain is exactly what you want to be stacking on your targets before you fire sonic blasters/blastmasters. That spell with my NM pushed up near the front almost won a few matches for me without help from the rest of my force.

Oh yeah that looks good. But then i might miss getting the invisibilty power that makes Spawn super annoying :-)
