Looking for some feedback on a kind of funky brainstorm I'm having. The idea is to use Illic and Shadowsun to build a list that specializes in infiltration, outflanking and deep strike units. My thoughts at the end. To the list!

Deployment would vary wildly depending on opponent. One of the things I LOVE about this list is that the only unit that will ever have to be deployed before the opponent is the pathfinders. So you get to choose deploy first and first turn, then they basically deploy first and you can deploy reactively. There are a few upgrades I'm unsure of since I've never used them or seen them in use, but I think they play a key role in this army. The positional relays and homing beacons should get outflankers and deep strikers where they can be most effecttive, if planned properly. Anti-tank is the spiders from the side or behind, stealth suits and rangers on quad gun against light/medium armor. Anti-air is quad gun and Spiders and is probably the weak point of the list. MC's should be handled by the snipers. I'm tempted to take switch some points around and take special weapons with the pathfinders since the marker lights aren't going to be as helpful as they would in other armies. I would also llke to squeeze another unit in here to get the count to 12 so that 6 units can outfland/deep strike. Could also take the Tau as primary to get shadowsun as the warlord, but I'm not sure that's worth losing a unit of spiders.

I think against most armies I would the pathfinders, then, after enemy deployment, Shadowsun, Illic, Steath suits, rangers and scorpions would infiltrate accordingly. Trying to keep pathfinders and the stealth suit strategically located to utilize the homing beacons and positional relays. Then, hopefuly turn 2 get at least 3-4 of the reserve units in, ideally both spider units and the pathfinders. Also, the Aegis line would probably go in the middle of the board so that I can infiltrate into it, and woud most likely be manned by rangers.

It's a cool idea though all I need to do is kill that single pathfinder unit in turn 1 to win the game, I'd do this with my own infiltrators to counter yours, run them down and shoot them up with numerous venoms, or better yet, blown em to hell with my razorwings missiles.

Very cool idea if you can keep that unit alive though it sure is risky

Wait, I think I misunderstood something, you deploy your pathfinders, then your opponent deploys, then it swings back to you?

How's that work??
